Products that do what Horsebot3k - Intelligent Amazon Review Analysis does

We found that evaluating products based on ratings alone often is not helpful, and some products have too many reviews to efficiently read. Also, for many products, we discovered that finding where the well-written and thoughtful reviews fell was more important than the content. So, for Startup Weekend Kansas City last weekend, we created an app (Horsebot3k) which parses Amazon to identify the better written reviews, and what topics people like and dislike. We got the app fully working over the weekend, and won first place! Check it out at http://horsebot3k.com We also have a 90 second…

Hey HN, I'm Andrei, and together with my co-founder Roman have been working on a tool called Reviewradar. Working with startups, doing interviews and sifting through endless software reviews are daunting tasks. So, we built a chatbot that lets you chat with over 3 million reviews from more than 100K SaaS products. With Reviewradar, you can ask questions like: - create a comprehensive SWOT analysis for both Notion and Obsidian - give me negative feedback and complaints you have about Postmark - summarise the reviews you have on products in the OCR category I would love to get your feedback on…

I’ve spent the last 2.5 months building a product that runs LLM-powered code reviews on my pull requests — and I just launched it. The tool is built specifically for solo developers. You install it on your repo, trigger a scan by creating a pull request, and it leaves structured review comments using OpenAI under the hood. Funnily enough, I used the dev version of this app to review its own pull requests while building it. It helped me spot bugs, simplify structure, and keep quality high — all with minimal need for another human in the loop. Things I want to try out in the next months : -…

hi, TLDR: I’m a programmer/solopreneur who got into online marketing, built a marketplace website, and just finished a book about online marketing that’ll appeal to programmers and other technical types. Now I want to recruit early readers to review it (good or bad–as your please) on Amazon. Any takers (non-binding, of course), contact me here: https://www.jackkinsella.ie/customer_support_requests/new Long Version: Six years ago, I programmed a web app, but it didn’t get much traffic, so I started researching everything on online marketing. I thought the best way to…

Been going for about three years now on the side, learned to code in Rails from Michael Hartl's book, got help from friends and have been getting tons of feedback. I find using Uservoice's idea generation tool was the best along with emailing all customers a few days after they register to get feedback. I also found that a good amount of people will sign up and abandon the site quickly and I'm going to put in a JQ tour to help guide people around the app. Also been testing out Olark to gauge converting users. Anywho, I just launched the latest, responsive Printavo update with has a ton of…

Hey there HN ! I'm so excited to show you the platform I built! It's a product review website that's all about community and video reviews. I wanted to create a space where people could share their personal experiences and opinions on products, so others could make informed decisions based on real-life experiences. I noticed that there were a lot of fake reviews on other platforms, and I knew that people wanted a more reliable and trustworthy source for product reviews. That's why I decided to create a website that would prioritize genuine, honest curated reviews from real people. Our…

I wanted to find a product idea to build. "Build things people want," right? So I thought, why not literally find people saying what they want? I wrote a script to collect thousands of Reddit posts where people are looking for a solution or complaining about a problem. Then I used GPT to filter out the noise and score each one based on how viable the idea seemed. Threw together a simple search interface so anyone can explore them. I was planning to build a more advanced paid version of this, but figured I'd share the raw version first to see if it's actually useful to anyone.

Hey HN, After GPT-3 created waves in the tech industry, a lot of AI tools were emerging and with that, some AI website builders But the results seemed way too generic to us. It felt like the developers were rushing to catch the wave instead of building a proper tool We took our time, did months of RnD and finally came up with something better than what others in the market are doing. It’s got better design output. While it’s still in beta, I wanted to show HN what we did. Will appreciate the feedback when you guys try it out. Here is the link to signup for the beta:…

Hi HN! Agora is an AI search engine for e-commerce products. We've indexed 21 million products sold on 62,000 different Shopify and WooCommerce stores and made them easy for customers to search and purchase. Think of a decentralized Amazon. I originally built Agora as a side project and launched it here on HN. The search took 5 - 10 seconds to return results and the app looked like it was designed in MS Paint (by yours truly). https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38635695 Since the MVP launch, here are a few technical challenges that we've been working on: 1. So I've been obsessed with a weird question for the past 6 months, what happens to SEO when everyone starts asking ChatGPT for recommendations instead of Googling? The answer, apparently, is chaos. And maybe opportunity? I built FirstClick because I noticed something strange. My previous startup was getting zero traffic from AI assistants, but our competitor (objectively worse product, sorry not sorry) was getting mentioned by Claude and Perplexity constantly. It drove me crazy. So I reverse engineered why. Turns out there's a whole new game being played and most founders don't even know it…
