Hey HN, It will be more of a "How I released my API without managing a website, servers, users, and payments. With 0$ up-front cost" Over the past year, I have come up with a plan of how I could release my own product without having to deal with managing users and/or dealing with payment processing. It is a 3 steps procedure: 1. Make an API that solves a problem 2. Deploy it with a serverless architecture 3. Distribute through an API Marketplace That took me about 2-3 days to develop an API using Flask, deploy it via Zappa on AWS, and release through RapidAPI. Source code of API:…

Hi HN, I’m Alex of Nots.io (https://nots.io) Nots is a SaaS for engineering teams aimed to help keep project docs up-to-date by linking them to the source code. The problem: During my career, I saw so many times, how the company’s docs and internal knowledge pile up in some knowledge base, wiki, google docs or simply in .md files in the repo. And after a while, everything turns into a mess. It’s hard to find the right document and determine whether it actually covers the code developers are working on right now. When you find something, it’s tedious to detect if the document is not…

Hi HN, I'm the CEO at https://replay.io. We've been working on time travel debugging for web development for a while (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28539247) and more recently an AI app builder that uses that debugger to get past problems instead of spinning in circles (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43258585). We've gotten to where we can pretty easily build apps to replace business-critical SaaS tools, some of which we're now using internally: * We built our own issue tracker to keep track of all our development projects, tickets, bug…

Hi HN folks, We've put together an API, to get data on B2B partnerships, it runs off the same infrastructure as our search app. It's very early and we’re looking for feedback. Edit: Here’s a link to the producthunt page and direct link (thanks mtmail for the reminder) [1]: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/partnership-api-by-partneroid [2]: Https://developers.partneroid.com

Hi. We just open sourced Bullet Train, a Feature Flag and Remote Config platform. It's a collection of tools: server API, admin front end and clients for a bunch of different platforms. Together they allow you to control feature flags and remote config across projects, environments and users. We realised that we were building ad-hoc feature flag stuff into individual projects over and over, so we had a look around to see if there was a way of doing this in a more formal manner. There are a few commercial solutions around but they were quite expensive and seemed to be aimed more at the…
