Cmon... I just want to upload a file and make it public on the internet. Now you tell me I need to master bucket policies, ACL, CORS, multipart uploads, content headers, CDN, presigned URLs, and a bunch of other crap? I can't be asked, so I built FILE0. It's for storing files but you don't need to complete an online course.

So I'm a junior Go dev and I made a small site that allows me to share images with someone privately and securely, and give me control over how many times the private link can be shared and how long the image will be accessible for. There are similar services to this one, but they are either convoluted with ads, or require sign-up, or expect you to fill out a survey or something. picburn is small, safe, and has no interest (nor the code or the server space) for storing your uploads. give it a try if it fits your usecase and let me know what you think. Note: there was a typo in the url

I created a 100% Open source Company-wide Self-hosted File Sharing Solution for Teams Recently, I wanted to share HD images and video files with my graphic designer. She’s exceptional at her craft but isn’t familiar with AWS S3 So, I got an idea and built this. I'm sure folks here have seen pastebins a thousand times. There's no innovation left in this space – and that's kind of the point. When I wanted to self-host a pastebin, every option I found was too much. Git-based version control, OAuth, elaborate admin panels. I just wanted something I could deploy in under a minute with a CLI that actually works. So I built pbnj (yes, like the sandwich). What it is: - A minimal, beautiful pastebin with syntax highlighting for 100+ languages - One-click deploy to Cloudflare (free tier gives you ~100,000 pastes) - CLI-first: pbnj file.py → get a URL, copied…

I'm a college student developer who built FileShot because I was tired of "privacy-first" file sharing being marketing copy rather than an architectural commitment. The thing that bothers me most about the current landscape: services claim zero-knowledge encryption, then require you to hand over your full name and email address just to password-protect a link. If the server genuinely never sees the key — why does it need to know who you are before you can use a basic feature? It doesn't. That's a conversion funnel, not a privacy decision. How FileShot actually works: - AES-256-GCM runs…

Hi all, about a month ago my wife was complaining about how annoying all of the photo sharing services were. Either the UI was overly complicated or it would ask people to register for the service before they could view the photos, etc. So I decided to build something dead-simple that she could use. There are no frills. You just create an album and email it around. The link goes directly to the photos. It's not fancy at all (very utilitarian), but she appreciates it, so I thought I'd launch it as a full service and share it with people. It's called SimpleNeat…

Folderhost is selfhosted filesharing cloud application. It is written in Go language as a server and Vite + React for the frontend. But the build of the project doesn't need docker to work on Windows or Linux. The Linux build is just 23 MB. No dependencies. You can simply install and try the program. The main features of the project are managing files, for example creating, copying, deleting, unzipping and etc. The other feature are the Recovery section, here you can recover your deleted files or folders. Also you have a Users system, and there you can give or take their permissions, you can…
