Seeing all the hype around Bolt.new, I decided to give it a try, and within just 30 minutes, I built a fully functional web app for screen sharing. How It Works: - One user opens a room and receives a unique code. - Participants join by simply entering the code to view the shared screen. After that initial build, I moved the project to Cursor to continue iterating and enhancing its features. Hey HN! I just released Multiplex, an app to watch torrents together. It provides an experience similar to Apple's SharePlay and Amazon's Prime Video Watch Party, except for any torrent instead of a specific streaming service, and uses WebRTC to synchronize playback positions between the people watching without requiring a central server. It's written in Go and allows the use of a central HTTP to BitTorrent gateway[1] if a viewer can't use the BitTorrent protocol on their own device. Hi HN! Over 3 years ago I developed a movies and series randomiser in Cordova web to deploy on app stores. The first versions had ads in it to monetize the development, also a "PRO" version was released for the price of 1 dollar (or something like that, the lowest price tier as far as I remember). I've never posted on ShowHN before, but I wanted to share my Xmas 2025 project; to try a new approach to controlling our kids screen time. This also involved massively over-engineering a solution in order to play with a shiny new gadget (and avoid the in laws at Christmas, obviously) I've shared some learnings on AI coding with embedded devices, and how I approached the product design/hardware selection side of things.
