This holiday weekend, I created a GPT for Instabooks, which allows you to instantly generate textbooks on any topic within ChatGPT. Why? This weekend wanted to try out the streaming ChatGPT API. As test project, created a simple website, which allows you to create whole books by providing just the title (with optional extra instructions). Given the title of the book, table of contents, chapters and sections with text content are generated. All books are listed on the home page, sorted into topic categories. As a bonus, when reading a specific section of a chapter, you can use the chat interface to ask for clarifications, request more content, list relevant topics, etc. The system does quite well with knowledge based books…

Hello fellow hackers, we made a site that gets GPT to answer your question using the info on a webpage you specify or document you upload (e.g., a large textbook .pdf file). Background: When ChatGPT came out, I had the idea of having it pull answers from my stereo receiver's annoyingly dense 32 page manual. My weekend project prototype proceeded to surprise with great answers—just like what we've all experienced by now. My co-founder thought we should productize it, and make it easy to use online. So far I've used it to reference ideas from books I've read before. I've also used it to explore books I have not read before by asking the bot questions. Some people have told me they use it like a reading companion. They pause while reading the book if they have a question, and use Konjer to answer it.
