Products that do what JSON Serve – Your JSON, Your Domain, No Server Required does

Just made a new utility site to simply serve JSON directly from your custom domain without needing a server. This service aims to help developers who need quick and reliable JSON hosting for various use cases. We also support hosting on our subdomains, if you don't yet own a domain. Use Cases: * API Testing: Quickly set up endpoints for testing and debugging, by just changing the domain. * Prototyping: Rapidly iterate and test your ideas. * Mobile App Devs: Serve data without the headache of server management. * Static Sites and Demos: Host JSON for static websites and demonstrations. * Stub…

We launched an API for custom hostnames today. A simple HTTP post with a hostname gets a temp hostname with CNAME/a record instructions, as soon as DNS is setup we issue SSL and start accepting traffic for that hostname. It's the quickest way we know of to provision custom hostnames: https://fly.io/mix/custom-hostnames/ When we started building Fly, we figured it was too late to "make SSL easy and the customers will come". Lets Encrypt changed the world, and we knew many companies rolling their own SSL support with nginx, Traefik, etc, etc. It seemed like a…

Hi HN! I'm Jarek, and I've built this tool that allows publishing .local domains on the local network using mDNS. It also has a reverse proxy that handles HTTPS termination and port forwarding. I'm working on adding more features, like an index page with all available domains or allowing proxy redirects, so you could redirect from HTTP to HTTPS. Let me know if you have any questions or feedback!

Hi HN! I’d like to share with you my project: JSDB. Two months ago I had this thought while reviewing a PR on a web application. What if I didn’t have to write code to communicate with my backend or database? It would be fun to just use arrays and objects like you normally do in javascript and have things magically save. That weekend I hacked together something that used proxies and classes to ‘magically’ send data to your backend when you assign or access properties in an object or array. Using the same API you already know. This means you can save data like this: items[x] = {a:2,b:false}…
