Products that do what JsonGenius – Open-Source Web Scraping API with GPT does
Hello HN! I decided to open-source my own web scraping API that I'm using to get information from different websites without using any selectors or XPath. Just provide the URL and a desired JSON schema, and it will return extracted data. Hope this can be helpful for someone. Cheers!

Hey all, I built a quick PoC that scrapes a webpage, sends the content to Gemini Flash, and outputs a clean, structured JSON — ready for RAG workflows. In my case, I’ll use this structured data to enhance models by integrating external knowledge sources during the generation process. Curious if you think this has potential or if there are any use cases I might have missed. Happy to share more details if there's interest!

Just a simple tool I hacked together last night. I wanted to paste a bunch of JSON for reference in an IRC channel, but the JSON that I wanted to paste was not formatted. I didn't quickly find a pastebin that formatted JSON for me so I just made one. It's probably so simple that it's borderline useless, but here it is! http://jsonifier.com/ example output: http://jsonifier.com/paste/4e3f84b46f3b792dde000000

Hey HN! I wanted to share a chrome extension I built for myself called From Chaos. It's an extension that takes the content of the page and organizes it into structured data. For instance, taking all the restaurants on a "top 10" article and just returning their names. It requires an OpenAI API key that you can set in your settings, and lets you get data back as JSON, YAML, CSV, or plain text. I built it to help in my data-gathering efforts, but wanted to share in case it's useful to someone else as well! It doesn't always return perfect data, but it does save me quite a bit of time.
