I wrote some simple open source web-based app to (1) dynamically compute knitting patterns (based on input parameters, such as the exact desired size), and (2) display these patterns and help me keep track of which row I'm on (as I start knitting), similar to minimalist "row counters" that other knitters use. It also gives you a simple visualization of the shape of what you're knitting. You can see it in action at https://alefore.github.io/knit/ (and read about it in https://github.com/alefore/knit). Right now I only implemented on simple pattern:…

"Lights Out" is a mathematical puzzle that lives on an grid where each cell of the grid is one of two colors: either red or white. The goal is to eventually get all the cells in the grid to be red. What's the catch? Clicking a cell will not only flip its color, but also that of all cells sharing the same row or column as it. To me, this game feels like playing with a Rubik's cube --- every time you think you are fixing one cell, you mess up its neighbors! There are many ways to arrive at a solution... some mathematical (linear algebra, or combinatorics), others more logical,... and yet…

Hello! Try out a 3x3 puzzle and click the question mark in the top right for a tutorial. I'd really appreciate any feedback! Thanks

A while ago I discovered three.js, a JavaScript library to manipulate 3D objects. It looked really interesting, but I had no real need for it... To change that I recently challenged myself to make one 3D web game per month with three.js. And I just release game #2, a puzzle game called Cuboid, and you can try it here: https://www.thomasfriday.com/cuboid/ Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Thanks!

Knit was created to solve pains of other LLM playgrounds. Some of the highlights: - Smart prompt builder, create prompt with simple requirement and few shot learning, fast and effortlessly. - Function call simulation, visualize the function callings and you can also setup a mocked value to return. - Support OpenAI/Anthropic/Azure models. - Manage prompts with projects and members. - And so much more! I have been developing Knit by myself for over 4 months now, and am looking for ways to improve it. Any feedback is appreciated.

It's like a mix between Picross (Nonograms) and Polyominoes. It's a minimalist puzzler which has no text, no tutorials (none required) and no ads set in a relaxing environment. App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/shapeuku-shape-puzzle-game/i... Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dtbgames.s... I have a bulk load of Android promo codes to give away, so if you'd like one let me know! (Sorry iOS users, I have no free codes left!)

Hi HN, I've built Skub, a sliding puzzle game for the browser, based on a classic boardgame: Ricochet Robots. It started as a challenge of trying to simplify the boardgame mechanics to fit on a mobile browser, which led to an 8x8 grid. Since, it has evolved to a bit more of an experimentation with Deno, and a way for me to truly try out AI-assisted development. Claude Code has been especially helpful in building the BFS solver and setting up CI, less so in UI and logic. I hope you enjoy it, all questions / feedback welcome.
