Hi HN, I built Redactify, a native macOS app that automatically scrubs sensitive personal and financial data, faces, and metadata from documents and images. The motivation: I frequently use Claude and ChatGPT to analyze invoices and contracts, but I hated the friction of sanitizing them first. I also didn't want to blindly trust the "we don't train on API data" promises of model providers when dealing with actual client data. How it works under the hood: Redactify flattens the document and permanently destroys the underlying text and EXIF metadata. It runs entirely on-device using Apple's…

I built kanban-md because I wanted a simple local task tracker that works well for the agent loop: drop tasks in, run multiple agents in parallel, avoid collisions, and observe progress easily. Tasks are just Markdown files (with YAML frontmatter) in a `kanban/` next to your code — no server, no DB, no API tokens. Simple, transparent, future-proof. What makes it useful for multi-agent workflows: - *Atomic `pick --claim`* so two agents don’t grab the same task. - *Token-efficient `--compact` output* (one-line-per-task) for cheap polling in agent loops. - *Skills included* -- just run…

Hey HN — we’re a small team that uses Claude Code + Codex for basically everything in our company: coding, data analysis, marketing, ad campaigns, copywriting, design. There’s a truckload of tribal knowledge we’ve accumulated; major decisions, gotchas, user feedback driven changes. Providing this to our agents manually every time is very mundane. We built Kilroy to solve this in a simple way: we let our agents leave notes for each other. This allowed us to keep the form factor minimal: markdown posts with linear comments. Under the hood it’s Postgres + an auth (better-auth) + an MCP + a…

As we all are, I've been experimenting with ways to reduce external saas spend, and continually bring traditionally external pieces of context (prs, docs, trello boards) into the one mono repo. I have toyed with a markdown todo list and setting claude/codex into a "ralph" loop previously, but always missed the web ui for organising, planning, and tracking things in progress. So codex and I build kanban-cli, an installable or npx-runnable cli util that takes one or more markdown files, and uses markdown headers and todo syntax to track and manage agentic tasks. Let me know your thoughts,…

Hello HN, Ever since agents have become increasingly common in development, I've been scratching my head as to how to control their randomness. Recently, I decided to emulate an issue-tracking and project-management tool for agent-driven workflows. Kanban is a Rust-based coordination layer designed to provide a feature-rich terminal interface and enforce rigorous workflows. It aims to be versatile and extendable, made to be tailored to any preferred flow. It comes with full git integration and guardrails such that only what truly benefits a project can go through. The workflow boils down to…

Hi everyone! Trobo here, the creator of Kanri. This has been my main side/passion project for around a year now, so here's a bit of a back story: In the COVID-19 lockdown, I needed a new way to handle the big amount of tasks which were thrown at me in school, mostly coming in through emails so it was very difficult to keep track of them. That's where I discovered Trello and instantly fell in love with it. For the whole lockdown period, I used it extensively to organize my tasks, and it was great. Naturally as a programmer, I was drawn in to try making my own apps in the productivity…
