What works now: user signups, org creations, private/public repos, and importing GitHub repositories (both as read-only mirrors and full migrations). So basically, you can create, push and pull to a repo, but we don't have many features quite yet (issues, PRs, CI). What is a bit unique is: 1) we built it in Rust and 2) the website is a little odd. Its design is inspired by CLIs (e.g., fzf, broot, vim) instead of web apps, and as such, lacks some affordances that you might typically expect in favor of keyboard-driven instant navigations (we have the very ambitious goal of an FCP of…

Code review conversations on GitHub can be frustratingly slow, now you can have them on Slack. Features: - Each pull request (PR) on GitHub creates a Slack channel (public or private) with all involved parties (creator, assignees, and reviewers). - An auto-generated summary in English of what the PR does, making it easier for reviewers to enter the context. - Notifications of workflow results, new commits, new approvals... are sent in the channel. - Code comments with context are available. The initial review still takes place on GitHub, but messages are then transferred to Slack for…

00's called, they want their RSS feeds back. I was looking at my growing Github gist collection when a sudden urge to blog and make a name for myself "by not programming" struck. Part way into implementing my oh so special static website generator it occurred to me that, quite frankly, Github gists is a pretty decent publishing platform. I mean, it gives you reasonably extended markdown with previews, heck I could even write in org-mode, has comments, follower - followee relationship, extended search with filters, check out locally and push your edits. Did someone say "edit button"? Thus the…

Like many devs, we lived in Slack hell—random notifications, chaotic threads and PRs always getting missed! We tried everything: Slack bots, GitHub settings, follow-up msgs—nothing worked. So we built PullNotifier. PullNotifier ensures that every PR gets the attention it deserves. It makes sure the right people see them at the right time—without spamming everyone (so you don't have to send those awkward PR request msgs). What makes it different? One notification per PR: No more drowning in redundant messages. Smart routing: PRs go only to the relevant channels or reviewers. Instant…

Hey everyone! Every reviewer loves smaller pull requests, but they can be hard to do practically. We created a Github integration that adds the following features - Commit checkpoints (i.e. stacked reviews) - Autogenerated tabs (based on dependency graphs) - A central pull request inbox (highlights which PRs need your attention) Commit checkpoints helps authors stack smaller changes within a single pull request without having to manage tons of branch offshoots. It works by using the common “[x/n]” prefix notation (where x is the stack number). This is the workflow: - Author makes some…

Simon(sfarshid) and I spend a lot of time on GitHub. As data nerds we put together a quick tool to explore your repository’s data. How it works: - Data Loading: We use dlt to pull data (issues, PRs, commits, stars) from GitHub - Semantic Layer: Relta wraps the underlying dataset into a semantic layer so the LLM doesn’t hallucinate. - Text-to-SQL: A text-to-SQL agent transforms your plain-English question into a query using the semantic layer - Generative Charts: assistant-ui dynamically generates a chart based on the SQL query - Refinements: If the semantic layer can’t handle your question,…
