Products that do what Liberate – Painlessly add user editable content to static HTML webpages does
Over the weekend I created a web app to scratch my own itch, called Liberate, which lets you embed user editable sections to static HTML webpages. http://liberateapp.com I have initial thoughts how this might be useful some folks: 1. Webmasters - plug these user editable sections into existing webpages and let your users update content themselves, without involving you. 2. Website owners – if you don't know HTML or FTP, you can get your webmaster/designer to do a one time setup and henceforth, you can update the content without involving them, saving time and money. 3. Designers – since the…

I built a web-based HTML/CSS/JS editor focused on speed, simplicity, and offline access. No bloat — just open and start coding. What makes it different: Live Preview – Edit HTML, CSS, and JS side-by-side with instant feedback. Offline support – Works without internet. You can even install it as a PWA and use it like a native app. No Login Required – Just visit, code, and preview. Login only if you want to save/share. Savable & Shareable Links – Save scripts in the cloud and get shareable links. Customizable Editor – Themes, fonts, auto-format on save, layout tweaks, line…

My personal itch to scratch just recently has been the umpteen formatting foibles of HackerNews. So, in the spirit of making the web more personal again, I knocked up a TamperMonkey userscript to fix up the worst of my personal bugbears. This isn't an attempt at a complete rebrand/redesign of the site, instead it's just fixing up what I think are the biggest design/readability issues whilst trying to remain true to the site's existing aesthetic. Key features: * Base font size increased * A little more room around headings * Top menu bar is full-width and with a little more padding…
