Products that do what Line9 – A Mermaid rendering engine with its own layout does
Line9 is a new rendering engine for Mermaid flowchart diagrams that aims to remove the need for manual adjustment of layout. Mermaid is a popular text-based language for describing multiple types of diagrams. Several Mermaid rendering engines already exist. Most, like the original mermaid.js, use Dagre or ELK graph drawing libraries to automatically lay out their diagrams. I’ve used Mermaid for the past four years but often recreated my flowcharts in a diagram editor so that I could modify the layout to something that better suited my needs. Use Line9 when you want an automatic flowchart…

Hi HN, Nick here, founder at OpenKnowledge. We built an open source library, Visimer, for editing Mermaid diagrams with a what-you-see-is-what-you-get visual editor. Try the playground at https://visimer.com/playground. You can rename labels, change shapes, add new nodes, etc. by clicking and dragging the visual canvas. We set out to build this originally for OpenKnowledge, our markdown wysiwyg editor, then realized it’d be great to share it as a proper embeddable component library so that other apps can leverage it as well. Our general take is that AI is great for generating…

Hello everybody! I just finished a hobby project. It is a F# library for creating Mermaid graph YAML. I used Fable to transpile to JS (+types) and python, and added a convenience C# access layer. This means you have a nice API for creating Mermaid graphs in 4 languages. My documentation also includes code examples for all languages and a blogpost on library design. Would appreciate feedback!

Hey HN, I made this because I wanted a fast editing experience when making flowcharts. Other tools (bottom)require clicking and dragging (or editing code). Knotend is keyboard centric and is supposed to feel more like editing a doc than dragging around boxes and arrows. I've tested in on safari and chrome desktop. Its difficult to use on mobile but you can view existing charts. I'd appreciate your feedback on how you use it, the design, any bugs etc. Thank you. Hi HN! I’m Alex from Parabola (https://parabola.io). Parabola is a visual programming tool for creating functional data flows that everyone can use. It’s entirely drag-and-drop, handles data sizes much larger than a traditional spreadsheet, calculates everything live, and can run your flows on a schedule of your choosing. I used to work in strategy consulting, doing data analytics for SMBs and Fortune 500 companies. The amount of time wasted on menial tasks was astounding. Things like cleaning data, generating custom reports, creating human workflows to solve shortcomings in third…
