Thought I would post in celebration of 1 year of my website being online. I've been working on it on and off and currently the website allows users to play Hex, Tumbleweed, Amazons, and Connect 6 against friends or against practice bots. I've been a long time player of some of these games and I felt for a long time that the world could use a few more popular abstract strategy games compared to Chess or Go. If you try it, let me know what you think. I'm always looking for new games or new features to add :)

Trading cards are awesome, but paying $30 for some cardboard isn’t. I’ve upscaled 60,000 cards from the entire catalog of Yugioh, Magic, Pokemon, & a newer game, https://elestrals.com. I've made it easy to build a decklist, download it, and then print at home. Modern inkjet printers got really good when nobody was looking. While it’s clear they’re not real cards, the upscaling makes them look great for casual play (these are not tournament legal). It’s totally free, give it a try! My personal project: https://github.com/leonidasdeim/chasse Goal was to build session based chessboard game without any rules - to play just like oldschool over the board. Just create new board and share link with a friend. I would appreciate any feedback and github star. Thanks!

Hello HN, I have started FBG some years ago when I moved to the Bay Area and could not find a simple, cross-platform, no-registration way to play board games with my friends back in my home country. I also wanted to make it simple to create multiplayer board games online for developers in their free time. Shortly after, I found out about boardgame.io with similar goals and decided to join forces with them. It became the engine of our board games, and we focused on publishing/serving them. To be fair with everyone and inspired by Wikipedia, we made the project a non-profit with GPLv3…

We are working on this side side project since few weeks. Our goal is to design a fully email based game, with graphics and everything. The main concept is a battle between two sorcerers. It’s turn-based, and you send commands by replying to emails you receive. At the moment, you can move your sorcerer, and attack your opponent. New and exciting things are coming soon! To launch a game, you only need to send an email to [email protected] and a friend of yours. The game is fully open-source, including artworks. What are your thoughts? The initial idea for the game came during the final day of Game AI school in Cambridge. There, we had a Jam where we explored the idea of using LLMs as a game engine for fights. We then built a full web version in just a week. There is no need to register or pay to play. Test it out!
