There have been a few times I wanted the ability to select some text out of a Markdown doc. For example, a GitHub CI check to ensure that PRs / issues / etc are properly formatted. This can be done to some extent with regex, but those expressions are brittle and hard to read or edit later. mdq uses a familiar pipe syntax to navigate the Markdown in a structured way. It's in 0.x because I don't want to fully commit to the syntax being stable, in case real-world testing shows that the syntax needs tweaking. But I think the project is in a pretty good spot overall, and would be…

Hi HN I built mdto.page because I often needed a quick way to share Markdown notes or documentation as a proper webpage, without setting up a GitHub repo or configuring a static site generator. I wanted something dead simple: upload Markdown -> get a shareable public URL. Key features: Instant Publishing: No login or setup required. Flexible Expiration: You can set links to expire automatically after 1 day, 7 days, 2 weeks, or 30 days. Great for temporary sharing. It's free to use. I’d love to hear your feedback!

Hey HN! I recently came across makedown here on HN and loved the concept. Wanting to learn Go, I thought this could be a great starter project - so I started working on my own Go implementation, which I’m calling mdx (https://github.com/dim0x69/mdx). Key Features: - Define dependencies between commands - Supports shebangs - Ability to pass arguments to code blocks Would love feedback and thoughts! Ref. makedown: https://github.com/tzador/makedown. Thanks for the idea! :)

I recently saw a post from the Vercel CEO pointing out that LLMs understand websites much better when they can request: `Accept: text/markdown` Most websites today are built for humans. When AI agents try to consume them, they get complex HTML instead of clean, structured content. So I built *accept-md* – a simple open-source package for Next.js that helps solve this. Getting started is intentionally minimal: ``` npx accept-md init ``` After that, your existing Next.js routes can automatically respond with Markdown whenever an AI agent (or any client) requests it. No redesigns, no CMS…
