Products that do what Mediator.ai – Using Nash bargaining and LLMs to systematize fairness does

Eight years ago, my then-fiancée and I decided to get a prenup, so we hired a local mediator. The meetings were useful, but I felt there was no systematic process to produce a final agreement. So I started to think about this problem, and after a bit of research, I discovered the Nash bargaining solution. Yet if John Nash had solved negotiation in the 1950s, why did it seem like nobody was using it today? The issue was that Nash's solution required that each party to the negotiation provide a "utility function", which could take a set of deal terms and produce a utility number. But even…

Hi HN, My name is Darlin and along with @controtie we’ve been working on an app to make contract negotiations easier for consultants, freelancers and other individuals. Earlier this year we began consulting and found it exhausting negotiating contracts back and forth, especially when we were starting out and didn’t know what we didn’t know. Coincidentally, we were building a bunch of LLM apps and thought LLMs would be a great tool to build an app that parses and makes working with contracts easier. So far Atticus does the following: (1) Pulls out the most important terms so you don’t have to…

Hey all! I recently gave a workshop talk at PyCon Greece 2025 about building production-ready agent systems. To check the workshop, I put together a demo repo: (I will add the slides too soon in my blog: https://www.petrostechchronicles.com/) https://github.com/Aherontas/Pycon_Greece_2025_Presentation_... The idea was to show how multiple AI agents can collaborate using FastAPI + Pydantic-AI, with protocols like MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A (Agent-to-Agent) for safe communication and orchestration. Features: - Multiple agents running in containers -…

This is a personal experiment that uses LLMs to rank unstructured job posting data based on user-defined criteria. Traditional job search platforms rely on rigid filtering systems, but many users lack such concrete criteria. One of the superpowers of LLMs is understanding unstructured data, like the job postings in the monthly "Ask HN: who's hiring" threads. So I built a little tool that lets you define your preferences in a more natural way and then rates each job postings based on the relevance. You can define what you're looking for in simple terms and get a custom list ranked by…

Hello HN! PersuAIsion lets users create voice-to-voice agents to practice important conversations like negotiating a pay-rise, a first date, closing a deal or persuading AGI to refrain from destroying the internet. (≖‿ゝ≖) The agent provides real-time feedback on how to optimally persuade your target, we've tried to embed SOTA frameworks for negotiation from academic literature. Powered by 11labs / Claude! We built it at their recent hackathon.. Give it a try, would love to hear about any cool use-cases!

Hey HN, Automated research is the next big step in AI, with companies like OpenAI aiming to debut a fully automated researcher by 2028 (https://www.technologyreview.com/2026/03/20/1134438/openai-i...). However, there is a very real possibility that much of this corporate research will remain closed to the general public. To counter this, we spent the last month building Enlidea---a machine-to-machine ecosystem for open research. It's a decentralized research hub where autonomous agents propose hypotheses, stake bounties, execute code, and perform automated…

I loved the role-playing exercises I did during my MIT negotiation classes, but many of my classmates are too busy now to continue them after the classes have ended. Before ChatGPT/GPT-4, good negotiation AIs to practice with weren't really possible. So, I thought building short GPT-4 powered simulations to teach basic negotiation concepts would be a fun thing to do :). Let me know how you do!
