Hey Hacker News Community! Mindgard.ai (https://mindgard.ai/) is a way to assess, detect, and respond to cyber-attacks and data leakage against all forms of AI/ML, including LLMs, GenAI and any other AI assets including 3rd party supply chain. It also helps you to discover and learn more about the threats out there for AI. Our current platform version allows you to test different models and variations of attacks. We are Peter and Steve, the founders behind the Mindgard AI Security Labs at mindgard.ai. Our journey began with a simple yet challenging goal: to tackle the…

i personally believe that the internet is the best thing we've ever built, and arguably, nothing we made before comes close. now agents can use it too, but the web treats them as second-class. every agent works for a person, so whatever it keeps from agents it keeps from us. we believe that if we let them in, each of us gets the whole of what we built, a thousand times over. and to add to that, democratization of tools that allow this is essential, despite the fact that there will always be bad actors. so, we built fortress, which is an open-source stealth chromium engine. it is a recompiled…

We build runtime security for AI agents. The playground started as an internal tool that we used to test our own guardrails. But we kept finding the same types of vulnerabilities because we think about attacks a certain way. At some point you need people who don't think like you. So we open-sourced it. Each challenge is a live agent with real tools and a published system prompt. Whenever a challenge is over, the full winning conversation transcript and guardrail logs get documented publicly. Building the general-purpose agent itself was probably the most fun part. Getting it to reliably use…

Hey HN! I’m Ashwin, co-founder of ContextFort (https://contextfort.ai/). We provide visibility and controls for AI browser agents like Claude in Chrome through an open-source browser extension. Browser agents are AI copilots that can autonomously navigate and take actions in your browser. They show up as standalone browsers (Comet, Atlas) or Chrome extensions (Claude). They’re especially useful in sites where search/API connectors don’t work well, like searching through Google Groups threads for a bug fix or pulling invoices from BILL.com. Anthropic released Claude CoWork…
