Hi HN, Today we're launching a tool to help you evaluate and test prompts for Generative AI. We have been building different GPT3 apps and noticed a gap in tooling to help developers assess the quality of different prompts. Our tool helps you template and test on different datasets and LLM models like GPT-3, GPT-3.5 and open source models like flan-t5-xxl. We are just getting started and would be delighted to receive your feedback.

We wanted to test if a smaller model like GPT-4.1-mini could beat its bigger brother 4.1 at the game Tic-Tac-Toe using only context engineering. We put them in a 100-game tournament. For the smaller model, we gave it a few examples of winning moves from past games right before it made its own move. The results were clear. Without the examples, the smaller model struggled against GPT-4.1. With the examples, its effectiveness increased by nearly 200%, and it consistently won. It's a simple demonstration, but it shows that a smaller, faster model with good, timely examples can outperform a more…

I've built an app that extracts interpretable 'circuits' from models using the GPT-2 architecture. These circuits reveal how specific inputs influence the probabilities of the next token in a sequence. While some tutorials present theoretical examples of how feedforward layers and attention heads may produce predictions, this app provides concrete examples of how information flows through an LLM. You can see, for example, the formation of features that search for simple grammatical patterns and trace their construction back to the use of more primitive features. Feel free to reach out with…

Hi guys, For my startup at www.mithrin.ai which is about create AI Chatbot Agents for websites, I wanted to create some free tools to attract traffic to the site and decided to create specialized chatbots powered by LLMs, similar to OpenAI's Custom GPTs. I realized that by using gpt-4o-mini, I could create quite powerful alternatives to GPTs that are free to the public for a very small cost (given how cheap the model api cost is). I've employed some throttling to prevent abuse and to avoid being charged too much. Then I integrated this with my main service and allowed users to use the…

VizGPT provides a chat interface to make and edit data visualizations. Not only can it create visualization with natural language query, but you can continue transform or edit your visualization in context. You can build complex visualization with chatting step by step instead of design a large prompt at once. There exist lots of great visualization product in the world, such as tableau, pygwalker. Traditional drag-and-drop visualization tool is hard to use for people who are not familiar with configs and viz/data transformations. For example, making a heatmap in tableau requires to…

Easily collect all transcriptions from a YouTube channel to create your own custom GPT (via OpenAI) or querying a large context window (Claude 2.1) The example is “CY GPT” your very own Sichael Miebel and Calton Daldwell in your pocket. I have a backlog of open-source projects, hope this helps!! This is counter intuitive (as I’m posting this) but please respect the creators copyright and use for research purposes only

Text → GPT → p5 | An app that turns your text prompt into p5js code (computer graphics) using OpenAI's GPT and displays it. Under the hood: Nextjs, React, CodeMirror, p5js I got into programming through arduino and processing. I've always thought about how to lower the barriers for people to start programming. With GPT, we can now turn plain text into code, allowing people to start coding without knowing code. OpenAI APIs don't come cheap! If you like the project, consider sponsoring access for others here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/mattelim Cheers!

After fine-tuning GPT for a personal project, I realized how tedious it is to write plain text in a massive JSON file. That's why I built this app for my own use, and I want to see if others could benefit from a tool like this as well ;)
