Hello HN, in 2017 I started a project that would become MonsterWriter. First envisioned as a semi-structured wiki it became a writing application specialized for scientific content. It is a perfect tool if you write your thesis. While it is focused on technical content, you can still see the knowledge management spirit in it. One or two years ago, my wife joined me in my efforts and redesigned the whole project and we recently released it as MonsterWriter2. To celebrate this milestone we are giving away free lifetime licenses for the Desktop version (till Apr 28). Just use the promo code…

Hey HN! I'd love to get some people to mess around with a little side project I built to teach myself DSPy! I've been a big fan of reading fiction + webnovels for a while now, and have always been curious about two things: how can LLMs iteratively learn to write better based on reader feedback, and which LLMs are actually best at creative writing (research benchmarks are cool, but don't necessarily translate to real-world usage). That's exactly why I built narrator.sh! The platform takes in a user input for a novel idea, then generates serialized fiction chapter-by-chapter by using DSPy to…

Just finished my second year at college studying Computer Science, and wanted to try and gain experience as a full stack dev this summer, so I made a website that allows users to create stories using openai's API, using embeddings for custom terms users can define, and create short stories and chapters alike. I'm mainly just looking for some feedback on how I can improve it or make it more presentable, so any help/feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Hey everyone! I know that a lot of people want to make more time for reading in their lives, but don't always have the time to do so. So I've created Summrize, an online platform for reading FREE non-fiction book summaries. For each book, I've condensed the most important concepts, quotes, actionable insights, frameworks and case studies, and presented them in a beautiful format. You can save the snippets that resonate the most with you, and share them on other platforms too! We know there exist other similar platforms (Blinkist, Shortform), but my goal with Summrize is to make access to the…

I’m excited to share the project I’ve been working on for a while now called Nuvvel, which utilizes AI to generate detailed, rich stories for avid readers. You might think of it as a mix between an endless Netflix series and a dedicated Wikipedia for each series. The platform features interconnected characters, each with their own story arcs, and immersive locations where events unfold, connecting everything together. Each series begins with a story arc told over many chapters. Once a chapter is unlocked, it becomes available for everyone to read. Some chapters might already be unlocked by…
