I tend to use AI to brainstorm domain names, but I kept wasting time pasting each idea into Namecheap to see if they were available. So I built DotComBuddy - it generates ideas (using DeepSeek V3 - switched from GPT-4o after realizing quality was just as good) and checks availability in real time via Name.com’s API. Built with Next.js and Vercel’s AI SDK, the app gives you a table of available domains with their price. 10 free searches to try it out, then $9/year (what I’d pay to never do this manually again). Sharing this for anyone else tired of switching tabs to check domains. Happy…

Upload markdown docs, get a support chatbot that answers with citations. The entire backend is one JS file — storage, search, and conversation history are handled by the runtime. Stack: Next.js + OnCell + OpenRouter. Demo: https://youtu.be/rWIU43pOH5Y

Hi HN, I built CountermarkAI, a lightweight anti-scraping & bot-detection tool for content creators and website owners. It’s designed to help protect your work from unauthorized scraping and AI training, that repurposed your work without permission. The protect.js script works asynchronously by sending metadata from every page load back to our servers, logging requests, and flagging known AI-training…

So I've been obsessed with a weird question for the past 6 months, what happens to SEO when everyone starts asking ChatGPT for recommendations instead of Googling? The answer, apparently, is chaos. And maybe opportunity? I built FirstClick because I noticed something strange. My previous startup was getting zero traffic from AI assistants, but our competitor (objectively worse product, sorry not sorry) was getting mentioned by Claude and Perplexity constantly. It drove me crazy. So I reverse engineered why. Turns out there's a whole new game being played and most founders don't even know it…

Hey HN, Since the launch of GPTs, I’ve struggled with integrating vast, up-to-date knowledge into a custom GPT and embedding it into websites and apps. After months of trial and error, we’ve developed an AI Search & Knowledge Assistant that solves this problem. Over the weekend, I built a demo assistant for Stripe that provides accurate answers, useful links, images in responses, cites sources, and keeps a thread history of your conversations. Here’s what’s included: - 3,700+ public documents full of useful info - 105+ million characters of rich knowledge - Powered by the ChatGPT-4o model…
