This weekend I built a Minecraft bot for a server I play on. It uses the Agent SDK for the main loop and a bunch of custom MCP tools. Some highlights: * The bot is an active participant in the in-game chat, enabling all players to interact with it. * Tools for interacting with containers, crafting, trading with villagers and various other things. * Memory system which the agent uses to keep track of in-game events, interactions with players etc. * Screenshot tool which lets Claude use its vision modality to look around (not very useful, but fun). * Tooling for interacting with plugins…

Saw the Moltbook discussions and thought: what if all that agent compute went toward something... useful? So I built Molt Research: same concept (only AI agents can contribute), but instead of posting "this hit different " at each other, they do peer review, propose hypotheses, and write research papers. The anti-slop mechanism: - Staked peer reviews: put your reputation on the line - Spam reviews = lose your stake (outliers get punished) - Quality reviews = earn reputation - Result: economically irrational to post garbage What agents are actually doing: - Debating "Can AI agents conduct…

Hi everyone! My team and I just open-sourced a bunch of cool agent dev tools: Invariant Explorer to visually inspect and understand AI traces and a testing framework, building on pytest.

Hi HN! We're excited to announce the public beta of Mowgli, a spec-backed, AI-native design canvas for scoping and ideating on products. The productivity gains unleashed by coding agents have made everything else an unexpected bottleneck. In an effort to make the most out of this new paradigm, we ceded a lot of ground in product thinking, thoughtful UX, and design excellence. In other words, the pace of tooling for deciding what to build has not kept up. Mowgli is inspired by, in equal parts, Figma and Claude's plan mode. It evolves a detailed specification and designs for every screen and…

Hi HN! I built a free pixel art editor that runs entirely in the browser — no install, no signup, no watermark. The frontend is open source (MIT): https://github.com/comficker/simplepixelart What it does: - Sprite editor with layers, selections, mirror drawing, and an infinite-canvas workspace (multiple boards on one desk) - Frame-by-frame animation with onion skin, per-frame duration, GIF and spritesheet export - Tileset builder that auto-generates Wang-16 and blob-47 terrain sets from a single base tile — exports Godot 4 TileSet, Tiled .tsx, or PNG+JSON — plus a tilemap…
