Products that do what My first Angular JS chrome extension does
Because I wanted to learn Angular JS, I developed Time Capsule, a chrome extension that replaces your "new tab page" with a newsfeed from yourself from one year ago. It also allows you to set goals for yourself for the next year. The idea of replacing the "new tab page" is that you can look at your goals everyday. Overall the experience with Angular JS was very good and I'd love some feedback on the finished extension.

I've been working on and off on a Chrome Extension for Hacker News, the extension focusses on improved usability rather than design. I can almost guarantee that after a day you won't want to go back to regular Hacker News. Give it a try, features include: - Improved readability - Quick inline replies from comments page - Quick profiles with social network info when hovering over usernames - Filtering of stories based on terms and phrases / domain or user - Endless scrolling - Collapsible comment threads - Social sharing for Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Buffer Forks, improvements and comments…

Hi all, I just made this Chrome extension I would like to hear your feedback on: http://alexisrondeau.com/reup/ The extension will ask you to define a goal while working within Chrome. Once you've set yourself that goal it will be visible on any webpage you visit after that. Some background: I've been noticing how much time I tend to waste online, especially Facebook, HackerNews, and tried many different ways to control the habit. There are extensions and methods out there that should help with this kind of behavior, for example StayFocusd or LeechBlock, but I have found myself not being…

I had an idea to build a Chrome extension to help stay on track with browsing the internet in today's multi-tab-able browsers. I wanted a solution that would encourage (ie, force) me to finish my business on a single given tab before going on to doing something else in another. TabZolo is the result of my dabbling with a buddy. Using the chrome.* APIs, when enabled, the extension forces you to use one tab and window (except incognito windows - but I probably shouldn't have told you that) and kills any new tabs/windows that get created instead replacing the current tab with the new URL.…

I often forget the list of tasks done and frequently miss mentioning updates during stand-ups. I made a Chrome Extension for myself and I found myself using it more than expected in the last few weeks (especially as I was at home) Sharing it here so others can give it a try too: https://usedone.today/

I built a simple Chrome extension to finally deal with my tab anxiety. I used to have 100s of tabs open — half were tasks, the rest were links I didn’t want to lose. Now, if something’s quick (like replying to an email), I just do it and close the tab.If it’s a task that’ll take time, I add a one-line note with a link (if needed) to the To-do tab.If it’s not a task but something I want to read or save, I add it to the Links tab — and close the tab. This small workflow has been a game-changer. I finally feel okay closing tabs and can focus better. The to-do list forces me to pick just one…

Hey HN! I wanted to share a chrome extension I built for myself called From Chaos. It's an extension that takes the content of the page and organizes it into structured data. For instance, taking all the restaurants on a "top 10" article and just returning their names. It requires an OpenAI API key that you can set in your settings, and lets you get data back as JSON, YAML, CSV, or plain text. I built it to help in my data-gathering efforts, but wanted to share in case it's useful to someone else as well! It doesn't always return perfect data, but it does save me quite a bit of time.

Recently I'm working on CopyUI which is an extension to copy UI element from websites and export html(or jsx) and css(or tailwind). I'm building this tool in order to create better landing pages because I'm really not good at layout and colors. So I hope to learn from others' design and innovate later, not to simply replicate.

minimalistab is an extension for Chrome that replaces the default "New tab" page with a blank WYSIWYG editor for taking notes. Sometimes I need a blank screen to stare at, especially when context switching between tasks; so I made this Chrome extension with basic note taking capabilities. I kept the code as simple as possible, formatted for developers with dyslexia. Let me know your opinions. I hope you find it useful. Feel free to personalize and hack your own copy. Feedback very welcome. DEMO: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hakaneskici/minimalistab/r... Install…

Our initial release is a Chrome extension that builds on top of Gmail and Google Calendar. We keep limited trace activity of coding sessions for 30 days to troubleshoot and improve our offering. No data (events, emails) from Google is ever logged or retained. 50 second demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ292bncO_c Chrome extension (free + no login): https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/fork-for-the-web/mf... We have a lot to learn and build. Would love any and all feedback! Paul & Dalton
