Hey HN. This is a weekend project of mine. It's an idea I had after seeing so many comments here about the lack of available .com names for startups. As PG once said: "Take a luxury and make it into a commodity"[1]. So, I decided I'd try turning name consulting from something only large corporations could afford to something anyone could. Hi all, not sure if there are any other parents / teachers out there, but I recently started collecting project ideas from around the web and decided to make a site so that other people could submit projects / project reports. Hi guys, We have just built Ultimategiftlists.com My girlfriend keeps asking me what I want for Christmas. I also need to buy stuff for my nephew. So I wrote a list of stuff out for my girlfriend and sent her an email of links showing her the stuff I wanted. I found that my brother did exactly the same to show me what I should get my nephews. Hi HN! In the last couple of weeks I've been working on Cranki: Cranki = Crosswords + Anki. (It's a stupid name tbh, haha) I like doing crosswords in Spanish (to learn vocab) but none of the apps out there allowed me to use my own list of words that I come across. So I built one instead. It's entirely client-side. No server, no database, no accounts, etc. Your words and stats are stored in local storage. I built this for myself but let me know if you like it!

(we keep sharing it on our social networks, and got close to a 100 downloads) Funny story about the name is that we made up a name before we knew what the app was going to be. It was just a fun exercise we indulged in at the pub, a bunch of laughs over silly app names for imaginary projects.

Hey all, just wanted to invite you to take a spin on this project I've been working on recently. To give you a bit of context, I'm a Pinterest/Tumblr/Svpply user but found that it's all still sub-optimal. For fun this Valentine's Day, a couple buddies and I decided to play around with the idea of digital Valentines. We cranked out the project in the month of January as a "nights & weekends" project. title basically covers it. project #2 from my paternity leave. My partner & I got frustrated with hearing Brahm's Lullaby and Wheels On The Bus repeatedly. I also stand by that babies can enjoy adult music just as easily as they can enjoy "kids music". But most adult music is too dense/complex for babies to understand, so I created this to generate baby-friendly, slowed down versions of songs that we like to play for our baby & sing along with.
