Hi! I've been a member of HN for fifteen years so today I'm very excited to share Plato. Plato is an Airtable-like interface for your Postgres or MySQL database. It's an admin panel for devs and non-devs alike to manage your DB. We see teams use Plato for customer support, customer success, ops, etc.. We built Plato because we think more people should be able to build and extend internal tools. We thought it was strange that even though low-code is supposed to democratize development, all of the low-code internal tool builders are marketed to engineers! Airtable is a familiar UI that fits…

Hello everyone, While working on other projects, I found myself always having to connect and use SELECT * to see dummy entries or new users. I favored the CLI for monitoring my database entries, especially because I was testing and just adding dummy users + our first normal users in projects. So it became a bit tiring always having to connect to postgres, mysql and give select * queries from the CLI.

I built a Rust-based CLI/terminal UI for inspecting Parquet files—data, metadata, and row-group-level structure—right from the terminal. If someone sent me a Parquet file, I used to open DuckDB or Polars just to see what was inside. Now I can do it with one command. Repo: https://github.com/kaushiksrini/parqeye

Hello fellow hackers! I'm excited to share the launch of WhoDB by Clidey. We are hoping to redefine the user experience with database management. CloudCLI is an open source web and mobile UI/mini IDE for Claude Code, Gemini, Codex and Cursor CLI. It sits on top of your existing agent install and gives you a browser interface you can open from any device. You can start sessions, resume existing ones, browse and edit files, manage git and the same control as sitting at your desktop. Try it: npx @siteboon/claude-code-ui (works with your existing setup) When you open it you'll already see all the sessions from your terminal. Some backstory:I've wanted to develop from my phone for a long time. When Claude Code arrived, the…

xsql is an open-source Rust CLI + TUI for converting SQL schema DDL between database dialects. Instead of text-based rewrites, it parses CREATE TABLE statements into a small intermediate representation (IR), then emits equivalent SQL for the target dialect. This makes conversions safer, testable, and easier to extend. It supports single-file and recursive folder conversion, includes a no-typing interactive TUI, and recently added an experimental IR v2 with constraint support and JSON output for CI and tooling use. Feedback is very welcome, especially on schema portability and IR design.
