Last week I decided to have a go at building a location based app, using native APIs for both android and iphone, but using a webview to display the content. It came together pretty well I think, still waiting for the ios app store to approve or reject the app. The app sends messages to anyone within 100 metres of you: http://herenow.nolanconsul.com/ I blogged a bit about it here: http://bennolan.com/2014/05/27/herenow-retrospective.html

Hi, This is my brand new project which helps indie iOS/Android devs discover the most profitable phrase niches in Apple App Store and Google Play Market for their apps and monitor position of their apps in markets. Please give me your feedback :) Regards, Wiktor

Hey HN, I just released Tradofire, a crypto trading app I built using a lot of cursor chatgpt and claude for over a year. The main idea of the app is very simple - to swipe on pre-prepared trading setups (like tinder) and if you right swipe it opens a position. The execution of this simple idea was much more complex and tbh I could not have done it without AI. Here's a quick rundown of the main features: Swipe-to-Trade UI: Quickly initiate long or short positions with intuitive swipe gestures. Real-Time Trade Signals: Get curated crypto signals from the market delivered proactively, helping…

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.daveganly.yarrly Hi, this is Yarrly - my first android app, backed up server side by a mongo & node.js backend. It’s a two-panel image generator, and quite a fun experiment in a no-login (‘anonymous’) app. You generate two panel images using photos or gallery pics, and add text, then it’s uploaded to Yarrly.com - creating an instagram-like link. For example you create http://yarrly.com/y/4hhs6ryyq73da533d, then android intents mean that if you open that link on a device that has Yarrly, you can…

At its core, the $350B resale industry is a messy, unstructured data problem. Resale isn’t a single market — it’s an extremely fragmented ecosystem of global marketplaces (The RealReal, Poshmark, Etsy, eBay, Fashionphile, etc.) and a long tail of independent resellers, social media merchants, and vintage/consignment shops. On both the consumer and enterprise sides, the biggest pain points stem from a lack of unified product schemas and inconsistent condition nomenclature and evaluation standards. We’re building SECONDSENSE to be the operating system for luxury resale, and we just…

Hi hackers! I'm a self-taught solo teenage dev ever wanted to show what you're doing right now on the internet? well I've been wanting to for a while, so I built Lynk, a lightweight macOS app that tracks your active apps, window titles, and daily usage in real time, and broadcasts that data over WebSockets. Oh and it also updates whenever you switch apps to connected clients! No SDKs, no APIs — just local tracking + a websocket endpoint you can ping from any language.
