4 months ago, our announcement for our free, multi-node, petabyte-scale time-series database generated 200+ comments: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23272992 Many commented on the Timescale License, our source-available license governing advanced features (eg multi-node). Most were positive, but some pointed out drawbacks (who says HN can't be productive!). That spurred an internal debate. Today we're happy to share an updated Timescale License with new rights, including the "right-to-repair" and "right-to-improve." And we’re doubling-down on our community, making all…

We did a livestream on Facebook where our model is running in real time on the interview. https://www.facebook.com/udotong/videos/10214047632934326/ Thoughts on where this would be the most valuable?

It's very early days for the project, but I wanted to share it to see if there is interest. It is the final piece of the FastAPI server-side rendering stack I started building with FastHX and htmy (the two dependencies of this project besides FastAPI). Think of it as a more powerful and convenient alternative to tools like FastHTML, powered by FastAPI (without any modifications). I hope you'll like it.

Hi I am Jan, CTO @ Pathway. A use case we have been working on with LLMs is to let people know when an answer to their query changes due to revisions of source documents. Obviously, we want to avoid periodically re-computing all queries for the LLM. Why I think it’s cool? - We don’t spin in a loop to repeat with the LLM. - Alerts are LLM-deduplicated - no spamming users with typo fixes - And the best - our framework, Pathway takes care of handling the updates, the example looks nearly like a regular, static RAG chatbot. More context + GIF of how it works for Google Drive document alerts:…

A01 is a news reader where you define your own algorithm in plain English. For example, you can prompt it with: • "I want to follow recent AI startups and their first funding rounds.” • "I want updates on regulation changes and enforcement actions around stablecoins.” Every few hours, the backend fetches new articles, embeds them, and scores each one against your prompt. Only the most relevant pieces show up. No engagement metrics, trending bait, or “you might also like” filler. I built this because I every time I opened up Twitter or LinkedIn to stay informed on something, but always ended…

During my fundraise, I had 6 Calendly links I was managing actively. My goals were: 1. Investors should always find links comfortable to their timezone 2. They should not see full day slots thinking I am free throughout the day ( wrong sign ) 3. So I had to manage multiple calendly for every timezone and opening slots - when one close. I really wished someone would have given me power to add all these things just as agent instructions for AI to decide - and we did it now. buxo.ai for everyone.
