Local, WYSIWYG markdown and mockup editor for Claude Code

  1. 1NO

We're open sourcing Nimbalyst, a multi-agent, visual workspace for building with Claude Code, Codex, and Opencode (alpha). It pairs parallel session management with WYSIWYG editors so you and your agents can work on the same files at the same time. The core idea: agents edit files, you edit files, and Nimbalyst makes that collaboration legible. Built-in WYSIWYG editors cover markdown, mockups, Excalidraw diagrams, data models, spreadsheets, and code (Monaco). Every edit is tracked back to the session that made it, with red/green WYSIWYG markdown diffs for review and approval. A session…

Hi, I'm Karl. Greg and I spent the last year building Nimbalyst, an open-source local desktop workspace for working with coding agents. We want to give agents and humans one place to work together with maximum bandwidth and context, instead of Obsidian for plans, Excalidraw for diagrams, Codex app or Conductor for session management, and Linear for tasks. So we integrated: - Visual editors for markdown, diagrams, mockups, data models, CSV, code, and your own custom extensions - Red/green diff review with per-block accept/reject when an agent makes changes - Session manager with…

Hey HN — we’re a small team that uses Claude Code + Codex for basically everything in our company: coding, data analysis, marketing, ad campaigns, copywriting, design. There’s a truckload of tribal knowledge we’ve accumulated; major decisions, gotchas, user feedback driven changes. Providing this to our agents manually every time is very mundane. We built Kilroy to solve this in a simple way: we let our agents leave notes for each other. This allowed us to keep the form factor minimal: markdown posts with linear comments. Under the hood it’s Postgres + an auth (better-auth) + an MCP + a…

I participated in the Nvidia + Vercel 2 hour hackathon in SF tonight, and built something I've wanted, but hadn't tried building. I implemented an MCP Server and VS Code extension to allow Claude Desktop to place breakpoints, step through code, and execute expressions (assuming language support). So you can ask it a question that requires actually stepping through the code and now it can actually do that - check values for you, etc. It's _definitely_ not perfect. Have improvements? Please make a PR!

Hi HN — I built Catnip, an open-source iOS app that lets you run Claude Code against a real development environment from your phone. Under the hood it spins up a GitHub Codespace, installs Claude Code, and connects the iOS client to it securely. You can use a full terminal when needed, or a lightweight native UI for monitoring and interaction. I built this because Claude Code is most useful when it has access to a persistent environment with plugins, tools, and real repos — and I wanted that flexibility away from my laptop. GitHub gives personal users 120 free Codespaces hours/month,…

When AI coding tools help you plan a project, they describe your options in text and ask you to pick. That works fine for technical choices but falls apart for anything visual. "A sticky navbar with a hamburger menu" vs "a sidebar with collapsible sections" is hard to evaluate without seeing them. I built a Claude Code skill that generates a self-contained HTML page for each decision point and opens it in the browser. Each page has four options with visual previews (rendered CSS mockups for UI decisions, flow diagrams for interactions, architecture diagrams for technical choices), a…
