Products that do what Nirviral Easter Egg Hunt #1 does

Nirviral Easter Egg Hunt #1 Nirviral is a newborn site. It is a link-sharing site much like Reddit and Hacker News. We are undergoing a massive scaling problem and we believe that having an easter egg hunt would help our website scale. There are 10 easter eggs on the site. There are 3 easter eggs in particular that we are looking forward you the hunters to find. If any of you locate the one of the 3 major easter eggs you will have the honor of winning a 15 dollars amazon gift card. We understand that this is really small of a gift card, but we plan to increase the numbers higher in the…

I am aged 11 and founder of https://sprout9.net/ a platform for students to find great tutors. Please forgive me if I get this wrong and post it incorrectly. I would like fellow hackers to give me some constructive feedback on my MVP please. Ideas and suggestions as how I can improve my version 1.0 and how I can get the word out so I can help many students as possible. Thanks alot! Azaan

So a while ago I was thinking it would be neat to build a site that had the most absolute utility. The idea I came up with was a site to store those little protips that are super useful, if you know them ahead of time. I hired a guy to work on it with me, and ClueDB was born: http://cluedb.com/ Please give it a whirl (it uses Twitter auth as login but doesn't tweet anything) and tell me what you think! (Various trivia: My first try at a project coded by someone else and "product managed" by me. Runs on Flask + MongoDB. Also, this is totally unrelated to my startup.)

Friends, Romans, HNers! Link: http://hackerbyte.com This is my first “weekend project” and it was really fun doing it. The sleepless weekends nights when all my friends were our partying or something we (me and two friends) were busy creating ‘hackerByte’ - a weekly newsletter to share inspiration with start-up people. Nothing fancy - just we’d like to share some really nice stuff we read and some news with you, every week. We know that newsletters like these already exist so why one more? Because we are not really satisfied with what they are doing and here is our version of the wheel. We…

Hi HN!, We're a group of High Schooler's who have made a website for an international cryptic hunt we have been organizing. Everything has been built from the ground up and has been open sourced. We'd love feedback on our work. And if it interests you, feel free to register and try a level or two! URL: https://halocrypt.com/ Source: https://github.com/halocrypt We're particularly proud of our frontend, since we have used a framework we built ourselves!

I built HackerBuddy.com with the idea of helping the Hacker News community get one-on-one help with fellow hackers that know their stuff. It matches up people that are good at a particular skill (Ruby on Rails, Python, beta-testing, general startup advice etc) with people that need that specialist help. All it does is swap your email address so that hackers can give fellow hackers one-on-one advice. I built the site as a way to learn Ruby on Rails, I'm still a bit green when it comes to coding so there's a very good chance that the server will fall over. Any feedback you guys have would be…

I have been in the position plenty of times where I am trying to get my game out there and there just aren't a lot of places to do it. Product Hunt is great... but it's a little restricting and difficult if you don't have an in to post. So I created Game Hunt. The goal is to help with the exposure of a game to people who might not otherwise get exposure to it. Here's the link http://gamehunt.co/ Any feedback would be great!

It seems like there isn't a week that goes by where there isn't a post on Hacker News asking "where can I find coverage for my startup?" So, I decided to make something to finally help address part of this problem. I'm happy to announce the launch of StartShout (http://startshout.com) today - a new way to find sources of coverage for your news about events, startup launches, new features, or other announcements. StartShout is both a directory of content publishers and a pitch writing service. I made StartShout because I want to help hackers get their projects noticed, but I think it could be…

Hey HN, I made https://linkians.com which is a game where all the action and state is contained in the url. The game involves taking care of little pets (emojis) that live in your url bar. Kind of like tamagotchi or sims. Feed them, play with them, and watch out for enemies! There's no server, just emojis in the url and client-side logic. Any linkians url using the supported emojis is a valid game state so you can save your game, or type out your own url and send it to a friend. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Wrote a program in FreeBASIC to try and find out how Genetic Algorithms work. It's a quick hack that I wrote to try some theories with because the Wikipedia Article on GAs reads like greek to me. So I built it from the general principles i knew at the time. The "genome" per individual is an array of 9000 integers but I used only monochrome pictures with either black or white; An individual also has a fitness score. There are 1000 individuals in the population and only two are selected to reproduce. So that makes 9 million (yes, MEELION as El Reg would write) data points and the scoring…

I have been a fan of hn for a long time. I spent a lot of time lurking and then finally made an account. I have found a lot of the startups getting launched on or through this site as inspirational. I am not a programmer but I do consider myself a hacker. I am originally from Russia but now live in the US. This is my third business and my first online business. I did all of the design and setup of artisurn.com myself using shopify. I would appreciate any feedback or tips from the community on any way to improve on what I have created. I feel that the funeral business is ripe for disruption…
