This is a game I wrote over the last month and a bit. The effort allocation was pretty different from what I've done in the past. The game design snapped together very quickly: I had the initial idea, played a couple of games on a spreadsheet to get a feel for the idea, and made one change based on those plays. After that everything felt just right through multiple rounds of playtesting. Likewise the puzzle generation is nowhere near as elaborate as in my previous game, fairly simple methods worked well and provided good variety. Hi HN, I'd like to share a logic number puzzle game I created! It is somewhat reminiscent of Sudoku and Minesweeper, but with its own twist. The rules are simple but it can be quite challenging! Please enjoy :) The feedback on the game prototype was invaluable and I incorporated a lot into what I hope is a more polished version of the game. What's new: Introduced a daily puzzle challenge. Hello HN, last week, I stumbled over an old project of mine called Click The Number. I built it about six years ago to compare my clicking and reaction speed with that of my friends. The idea is simple – just click on the numbers in orders as fast as possible. I couldn't resist and rebuilt a lot of parts again, making them a bit nicer.
