24 alternatives to Offsuit – Casual Poker, Redesigned
For the past year my friend and I have been building a dead simple offline poker app that we actually wanted to spend time in. No constant pop-ups. No account needed. No waiting for tables. No fake felt or neon. Just free poker against intelligent AI opponents with helpful in-game stats. We’ve started offline, but are working towards online-multiplayer, tutorials for new players, and more in-game stats. Would love your feedback!

Ever felt like you were the designated poker dealer in your friend group? Frustrated with the clunky, old-school home game experience? Well, I did too. Years of playing poker left me wanting more than just shuffling and dealing. That's why two friends and I decided to change the way we play. We've built an app to streamline your home poker games! Think automated dealing, easy chip management, and features to keep things exciting. We're in beta now, so if you love poker nights, we need your help. Check out the app, give us feedback, and let's change the game together!

Hi HN! I'm the developer of rdx, a mildly popular ad-free, privacy and user friendly Reddit client. This time, I made something for a very specific use case: solving chess puzzles with no internet. Why? Well, my Wi-Fi is terrible in the bathroom—and that's where I do some of my best thinking. I tried printing out “mate in X” puzzles to solve offline, but they weren’t fun without interaction. So I built OffChess. OffChess is an iPhone/Android app that contains over 100,000 chess puzzles, fully offline and completely ad-free. You can solve puzzles by category (Mate in…

I'm the original author of DD Poker, a Java-based computer game that ran on Mac, Linux and Windows and originally sold in stores in physical boxes. I shut down the backend servers in 2017 but the game is still functional and people can still play each other online even though the central lobby and find-a-game functionality no longer work. I've been asked over the years to release the source code, especially during the pandemic, and again this year. I finally got motivated to clean up the code and put it out there. The code is 20 years old and uses some ancient Spring, log4j, Wicket and other…

I enjoy playing poker with my friends, but I have to admit, I’m a classic ‘fish’, particularly after a beer! I’ve created a web app where fellow fish can practice their poker skills for free against bots. www.pokerpupil.com As a homage to old computer games, I’ve added a boss/panic screen: press ‘b’ to open a fake spreadsheet. (Desktop web only) My hope is us fellow fish can rise up and take down our next home game. I built the game in Flutter, using this tutorial as a base: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSN2hBf8D5Q Things I liked about Flutter: (1) Components are fun…

I built *The Point Poker* (https://www.thepointpoker.com/), a free web app to make estimating efforts in Agile teams more engaging. It takes the standard planning poker method (Fibonacci) and adds *gamification*: * Teams can use custom cards with unique animations and styles. * Users gain experience and level up as they participate in sessions. * Provides real-time collaboration for up to 8 participants per room. The app is entirely free, currently in beta, and open for testing. I'm looking for feedback on the real-time experience and the gamified elements. The current limits…
