I love Streamlit but have run into many situation where taking it from PoC to MVP state is insurmountable. With all the recent HN hype around htmx and sematic html / classless css I decided to build a Streamlit alternative using these on top of FastAPI. This has a couple advantages: 1) easier to extend when you move past PoC since the FastAPI app is exposed (allowing adding more routes) and hstream acts more like a typical web stack 2) with htmx and html (plus MVP.css) doing the heavy lifting the package is alot less complex and easier to reason about - and hopefully more performant…

Hey HN! I've been working on Muxamp for over a year now, and I decided that there's no point in keeping the source closed. (I never planned on making money from it.) I've learned a lot since I started, and I hope others can benefit from its release--and perhaps teach me a thing or two as well :)

- This page is running directly on the Pico W in the stream, using microdot (but proxied out via cloudflare tunnel). - There's a buzzer that plays a sound as well but the stream has no audio. - There's a Pi Zero 2 W with a Camera Module 3 streaming the video. Streaming low latency video is painful. I tried mjpeg, Nginx+HLS/DASH, YouTube and Twitch. Twitch is definitely the easiest and best-performing. - There's still a few seconds delay between sending your message and the video updating.

Hi everyone! I'm one of the co-founders of Wonder Interactive, the company behind the SimplyStream platform. Here are a few highlights: SimplyStream File System for seamless asset streaming Tiny WASM core, full engine power Multi-threaded WebGPU for native-like performance Please see our website for more information such as additional features, pricing, etc.
