GUI disk analyzers are great for figuring out what's filling up your laptop/desktop drive. On containers or remote servers, the options are limited to purely text based utilities (e.g. du) or list-centric TUIs (e.g. ncdu) which are usually limited to viewing one directory at a time. I created leaves to fill that gap. Inspired by classic utilities like WinDirStat and KDirStat, it uses a 2-dimensional treemap^1 visualization to show the entire directory hierarchy with proportionally sized rectangles. Try it at: ssh krnl.duetbrowser.com No sign up, totally free - no download. Let me know what you think. Prior art exists (brow.sh) but I wasn't satisfied with their graphical take. I wanted the raw, old skool terminal days of the early internet - BBS, and old green phosphor library comptuers - but running the modern web, with all the bells and jingle jangle whistles (JavaScript, etc). No funding, no VC, just 100% raw terminal fun. Not sure how long the demo will last, but try it out.

Hey any astrophysicist reading hn there? Was sick in august (yeah isn't that nice) and made a small python fits table viewer for the terminal with textual. It would be great to have people try it so if you find any issue I can improve it. If you have no FITS file but would like to try regardless there are some test file in `/test`. Ciao!

My partner reviews a lot of P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams) and the adjacent files involved (excel, docx, pdfs, acd/l5x, etc). In his company, these are usually done in Bluebeam. It's really hard to see the diff + keep track of all the revisions resulted by these iterations. They end up storing files like "rev3_final_redlined.pdf". We've been looking for something close to Github to do these reviews, but haven't found one easy enough for folks with no CLI experience to understand and use (happy to check out more tools if you know any). I made a Terminal UI for OpenSnitch[1], an interactive application firewall for Linux inspired by Little Snitch. This is my personal todo app, which I made a while back after the original https://xit.jotaen.net/ post. tuido is written in go, with the bubbletea tui framework. My daily workflow involves creating YYYY-MM-DD.md and taking notes, many of which are effectively low-level todos that fall below the threshold for more public or involved issue trackers. Problem was that these half-hazard todos weren't tracked at all. After seeing the [x]it spec, it seemed clear that a little tooling could fix this. I've been reasonably happy with it.

We're two engineers that got fed up with context switching.
