24 alternatives to Open-source react package for generative-UI components – Hydra AI
Hi HN, Michael & Michael here. We are indie hackers who have been building apps full-time for the past year. We both independently realized the need for a React framework for building generative UIs. A React developer can register a component and then have an AI choose which component to render and fill in the props i.e. text, styles, etc. We have demos in our repo graphs, forms, and general UI. Check out the repo above or npm i hydra or use this template https://github.com/MichaelMilstead/hydra-template
Hydra AI is an open-source React package that enables developers to build generative user interfaces. Developers register React components, and an AI system automatically selects which component to render and populates… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. Open-source react package for generative-UI components – Hydra AI launched in 2024; newer entries below may have overtaken it.

21st.dev▲1,211I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Locofy.ai▲720Hey there, I am Honey - Co-founder at Locofy. We, along with other makers, have been building Locofy.ai to help massively accelerate the builders - the designers, developers, product managers & founders, and we're excited to share it today with the HN Community. Locofy.ai simply converts designs into production-ready frontend code for web and mobile apps. It adapts to your preferred design tools, tech stack, and workflows with ease and lets you launch upto 4x faster, while letting designers design the way they want and giving high-quality responsive code that developers love. With this…

I made this because building UIs in a lexical medium like code is super annoying. I have to pre-render what I’m making in my head, and then jump between the browser and IDE to test. I was inspired by the developer console in chrome and safari since I end up editing css there because it’s ironically more convenient. Hope it’s useful!

Hi HN! Solo developer here. 10 days ago, I started building this after spending countless hours copying/pasting marketing sections and fighting to keep them consistent with our design system. I wondered: "What if AI could understand our design system and generate React components that actually match it?" Current progress (10 days in): - Can generate hero sections that follow your design tokens - Uses your actual component variants and styles - Works with Next.js, Tailwind, shadcn/ui It's very early days, but I'm excited to share it with other devs who: - Are tired of rebuilding…

Hey Hackers! My name is Alex and I’ve been working on this project for the past 8 months with the support of Figma Creator Fund. I’d love to hear your thoughts from your experience working with designers & component libraries. I started out in design and later got into coding, so I understand both sides really well. I did UX Design for 12 years at startups, at my own studio and at Wix, and then worked as a front-end dev at Wix for 2 more years. I've noticed a common problem: most component libraries work great for devs but not so well for designers. In my experience working with big teams,…
