gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b open-weight language models
OpenAI Open Models are Apache 2.0 licensed open-weight language models available in two sizes: gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b. Designed for developers, these models support powerful reasoning and agentic tasks. I’ve been building Echo (https://echo.tracerml.ai/), an experiment in making one AI system out of a pool of open-weight models rather than choosing a single model and using it for every task. It started with a simple experiment. I took a group of models, including GLM-5.2, Kimi K2.7 and others, and ran them on the same evaluations. Then I measured what would happen if, for each problem, you somehow knew in advance which models would be useful and how their outputs should be combined. That hypothetical system performed substantially better than any individual model in the pool.…

Hi, I’m Jakub, a solo founder based in Warsaw. I’ve been building GoModel since December with a couple of contributors. It's an open-source AI gateway that sits between your app and model providers like OpenAI, Anthropic or others. I built it for my startup to solve a few problems: - track AI usage and cost per client or team - switch models without changing app code - debug request flows more easily - reduce AI spendings with exact and semantic caching How is it different? - ~17MB docker image - LiteLLM's image is more than 44x bigger ("docker.litellm.ai/berriai/litellm:latest" ~…

Hey everyone, We have been building SecureAI Tools -- an open-source application layer for ChatGPT and ChatPDF-like AI tools. It works with locally running LLMs as well as with OpenAI-compatible APIs. For local LLMs, it supports Ollama which supports all the gguf/ggml models. Currently, it has two features: Chat-with-LLM, and Chat-with-PDFs. It is optimized for self-hosting use cases and comes with basic user management features. Here are some quick demos: * Chat with documents using OpenAI's GPT3.5 model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br2D3G9O47s * Chat with documents…
