oqoqo▲325Most benchmarks today exist in curated environments and do not translate well to the real world. We built Oqoqo to bridge this gap. Oqoqo makes it super simple to build realistic evals and custom benchmarks for tasks users actually care about. Oqoqo can: - Reliably measure how agent friendly your product surfaces are against Codex, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes, Pi, Opencode, Cursor, GitHub Copilot - Regression test MCP, CLI, skills, SDK, and any agent facing interface (we are continuously using Oqoqo to dogfood and improve our own MCP/CLI) - Create and share custom benchmarks for how…

Built this because I'm sick of keeping documentation up to date when everyone's using AI tools now. It will not only generate missing docs / update / remove docs as they need alignment, but you can hook up the MCP to whatever agent is being used these days and it'll inform it of codebase conventions & relevant documentation, telling it to update docs as it find them or as it makes changes (in the same PR as related work), and reduces spend on tokens by getting things right the first time without having to grep the whole codebase for context or go through 5 rounds of "follow our…

I shipped a wiki layer for AI agents that uses markdown + git as the source of truth, with a bleve (BM25) + SQLite index on top. No vector or graph db yet. It runs locally in ~/.wuphf/wiki/ and you can git clone it out if you want to take your knowledge with you. The shape is the one Karpathy has been circling for a while: an LLM-native knowledge substrate that agents both read from and write into, so context compounds across sessions rather than getting re-pasted every morning. Most implementations of that idea land on Postgres, pgvector, Neo4j, Kafka, and a dashboard. I…

Hey HN! I built Retain as the evolution of claude-reflect (github.com/BayramAnnakov/claude-reflect). The original problem: I use Claude Code/Codex daily for coding, plus claude.ai and ChatGPT occasionally. Every conversation contains decisions, corrections, and patterns I forget existed weeks later. I kept re-explaining the same preferences. claude-reflect was a CLI tool that extracted learnings from Claude Code sessions. Retain takes this further with a native macOS app that: - Aggregates conversations from Claude Code, claude.ai, ChatGPT, and Codex CLI - Instant full-text…

Hey HN! I'm open-sourcing a little weekend side project. It's a terminal UI that generates parsers for webpages using AI, and a library that runs these parsers while you browse (it connects to Chrome over CDP). You can parse Twitter, LinkedIn, and HN posts and they get saved to a DuckDB database, so you can query them later. Contributions welcome! I wrote a bit more about it here: https://0thernet.substack.com/p/memo-2-selectron

Hi HN, for quite some time I've been thinking how LLMs are missing the knowledge base, where I can dump CSVs, PDFs, and most important, inline web app. running on Claude Code (bring your own agent) with agents with heartbeats and jobs https://runcabinet.com It runs locally and is installable via npm. GitHub (open source): https://github.com/hilash/cabinet This is still very early. I put the first version together quickly after seeing a post by Andrej Karpathy about LLM knowledge bases, which matched closely with what I’d been building. Some people have already…

We built a reference MCP server that lets your editor/agent learn a codebase directly from source (signatures, types, AST, comments). Docs are optional. The reference impl runs on our open-source project’s codebase. Why we built it Docs are important, but they add another abstraction layer between your code and your users. Keeping them at the right quality is hard (especially at a startup), and LLM-generated docs are often mediocre until you invest real polish. Exposing code to the model in a structured way keeps answers grounded and current, and it’s always available. You can even…

I built this because I got tired of watching Claude Code read through massive files just to find a few functions. Sourcerer lets AI agents search code semantically and grab exactly the code chunks they need instead of burning tokens on whole files. It uses tree-sitter to parse your codebase and creates a searchable index. So instead of "read auth.py (538 lines)", an agent can search for "user authentication logic" and get back just the relevant functions. Hey HN, I just spent the last few weeks building a database for agents. Over the last year I built PostHog AI, the company's business analyst agent, where we experimented on giving raw SQL access to PostHog databases vs. exposing tools/MCPs. Needless to say, SQL wins. I left PostHog 3 weeks ago to work on side-projects. I wanted to experiment more with SQL+agents. I built an MVP exposing business data through DuckDB + annotated schemas, and ran a benchmark with 11 LLMs (from Kimi 2.5 to Claude Opus 4.6) answering business questions with either 1) per-source MCP access (e.g. one Stripe…
