While procrastinating doing the ironing today I whipped up a Sinatra/Heroku/Campaing Monitor application for a Pre-Launch Page. Startup Weekend just started in our city and we thought we'll build a Heroku autoscaler that really works, and saves you not only from slowly building traffic but from the slashdot effect as well.<p>Those who tried out ddollar's gem (and all forks of it) or even Heroscale know that the problem's not so trivial to solve.<p>We hope people will get it, and pay a small monthly fee to save many days of inrastructure coding so they can focus on business logic instead.<p>URL is: http://scalefu.com/

We thought it would help us a lot if we would have a platform to connect with early adopters more easily for Stamplin. As a quick and dirty side project, we buit early (http://early.herokuapp.com/) other the weekend. There is a lot's of features we would like to add: - obviously, subscribe, single vote by project - comments - give your email address, add twitter account info and more to keep early adopters posted - more details about the project (images, video, etc..) Customer validation shouldn't be that difficult. Comments/thoughts?

I quit my job a month ago and have been heads down working on my startup. It's my first time working with Ruby or web development at all. I launched on the 7th - http://www.onefatpig.com Now I'm done with the easy part (code) and working on the substantially harder part (getting users). Any advice?
