Tech stack: Go + templ + htmx There are some rough edges but this combo is quite refreshing after React. The best thing is that I could omit npm from my stack. Having just a monolith (Go) server greatly simplifies things if you're an indie dev.

Hi HN, YC w24 company here. We just pivoted from drone delivery to build gpudeploy.com, a website that routes on-demand traffic for GPU instances to idle compute resources. The experience is similar to lambda labs, which we’ve really enjoyed for training our robotics models, but their GPUs are never available for on-demand. We are also trying to make it more no-nonsense (no hidden fees, no H100 behind “contact sales”, etc.). The overall idea is to chart out the thousands of Mini PCs by benchmark and reveal the Pareto Front so you can get the most Compute per Dollar. Definitely a labor of love as I have a number of Mini PCs for my "homelab" (TrueNAS, piHole, Plex, basic stuff). I built a small Linux tool to deterministically verify GPU PCIe link health and bandwidth. It reports: - Negotiated PCIe generation and width - Peak Host→Device and Device→Host memcpy bandwidth - Sustained PCIe TX/RX utilization via NVML - A rule-based verdict derived from observable hardware data only This exists because PCIe issues (Gen downgrades, reduced lane width, risers, bifurcation) are often invisible at the application layer and can’t be fixed by kernel tuning or async overlap. Linux-only: it relies on sysfs and PCIe AER exposure that Windows does not provide.

Started PC flipping as a hobby (buying used parts, building PCs, and selling them for a small profit). Found that focusing on used parts on eBay gives the best margins - like finding a GPU 20% below market, pairing it with other deals, and selling the complete build locally.
