Dear HN Community. We're Bjorn, Dustin, Stefan & Jens, the founders of WunderGraph. More than two years ago, Jens started WunderGraph as a Side Project. The initial idea was to solve the problem of integrating multiple disparate DataSources into a single, unified API Layer. While solving this problem, Jens realized that his mental model of APIs was wrong. Most API tools treat APIs as abstract things or just endpoints, in a very imperative way. At some point, he realized that there's a better model to think about APIs: APIs are dependencies and we should treat them in a declarative way! And…

Hi HN, I have been making this Cozo database since half a year ago, and now it is ready for public release. My initial motivation is that I want a graph database. Lightweight and easy to use, like SQLite. Powerful and performant, like Postgres. I found none of the existing solutions good enough. Deciding to roll my own, I need to choose a query language. I am familiar with Cypher but consider it not much of an improvement over CTE in SQL (Cypher is sometimes notationally more convenient, but not more expressive). I like Gremlin but would prefer something more declarative. Experimentations…

Hey, I'm Jens, founder of WunderGraph. Over the years of working with REST & GraphQL APIs, I found that some aspects of using it are way too complicated. Here's a list of problems I believe could be abstracted away: - Aggregating multiple GraphQL, REST, etc. APIs into a simple to use API (Backend for Frontend) without writing code - adding Authentication & Authorization to APIs you don't have full control over - adding efficient and easy to use Caching to GraphQL APIs without writing code - adding persisted queries for security and performance reasons without making my application code and…
