Hey HN! I'm Dris, I'm 17, and for the past few months, I've been solo-developing Parkt, an app that lets you quickly reserve or sell parking spots. Parking sucks - it's expensive, hard to find, and you usually overpay or get a ticket. With Parkt, you can reserve parking in 2 taps, or list your unused space in under 5 minutes. It's now free to download on iOS (with Android coming soon)! You can also check out a demo on the site if you're interested. If you know someone who might use Parkt, sharing the app would be super helpful! Feedback is also appreciated.

I built a Rust-based CLI/terminal UI for inspecting Parquet files—data, metadata, and row-group-level structure—right from the terminal. If someone sent me a Parquet file, I used to open DuckDB or Polars just to see what was inside. Now I can do it with one command. Repo: https://github.com/kaushiksrini/parqeye

SnapQL is an open-source desktop app (built with Electron) that lets you query your Postgres database using natural language. It’s schema-aware, so you don’t need to copy-paste your schema or write complex SQL by hand. Everything runs locally — your OpenAI API key, your data, and your queries — so it's secure and private. Just connect your DB, describe what you want, and SnapQL writes and runs the SQL for you.

Founder here, Parseable is a lightweight log ingestion and query engine written in Rust. Parseable can ingest data from existing logging agents (FluentBit, LogStash, Vector, syslog-ng and more) using HTTP + JSON output. Ingested logs are stored as semi-indexed Parquet files (on disk or S3). You can query the data with builtin query engine using SQL or use a query engines of choice like Spark, Presto, Trino and so on. We also developed a Grafana data source plugin that lets you visualise log data via Grafana. Sample dashboard link in readme. As log data grew, our industry has responded with…
