Recently, I saw Github Next Code Brushes (https://githubnext.com/projects/code-brushes) which is a VSCode extension that can use AI to do things like make your code more readable, add types, etc. This inspired me: what if there was an extension that could use AI to make your code worse as well? Meet Spaghettify. An extension I developed that can do things like: - Obscure your code - Introduce a bug - Make the variable names way too descriptive - Use nonsymmetrical whitespace - Add irrelevant/rambling comments - Document the code with emoji - Document the code in any…

I've been using this for about a year now - I parsed 6 months of my messages on slack and found the most common phrases I use and generated keyboard shortcuts for them.

As a Vim user, I often use Vim to write some text and then copy & paste it into another text field of GUI apps (e.g. browsers, chat apps, etc.), because almost all of these text fields provide only very basic editing functions. Ordinary IMEs are used to input some non-English characters, but the essential functions of IME are 1) receiving a keyboard sequence 2) process the key sequence and outputting a text These functions are the same as text editor's. So I thought implementing an IME that can be used with Vim…

This is a spiritual adaptation of oil.nvim for vscode. The main idea is you edit the filesystem by editing the current directory listing's text buffer. For example, if I want to rename a file, I just rename it in the listing file. This is extremely powerful because it translates all of your text-editing skills immediately into file editing capabilities. Some features: * Create/rename/move/delete files by editing the current directory listing's textbuffer * Filter using glob pattern * Trash and undo support * Works even in remote-ssh workspaces * Works across multiple vscode…
