Products that do what Path to Philosophy – Find how any Wikipedia page leads to Philosophy does
I built a fun game called Path to Philosophy. Starting from any Wikipedia article, it follows the first link in each page’s main text until it eventually reaches the Philosophy article (as most Wikipedia pages tend to do). You can pick any starting page and see the full path unfold. If you find long paths, you can submit them to the leaderboard. It’s a fun way to explore how diverse ideas often converge into shared conceptual roots.

Connect two articles on Wikipedia, but do it the long way. I've always been a fan of the theory of six degree of separation, but it's an overused concept when exploring the Wiki-graph. Instead of showing the shortest path, which in my opinion is "boring" and ends up connecting super-important central articles, I came up with my own method: WikiBinge selects the smaller, less represented articles on Wikipedia. In a WikiBinge path, the underdogs are the kings! How does it work? It's pretty straightforward! Compute PageRank on the Wiki-graph and assign as weight of each edge the PageRank value…

Sometimes my son asks me 'why' questions that could be answered well by a kid-friendly philosophy article. But I don't know where to find those, so I ask Claude or ChatGPT, and have a specific workflow for getting the type of output I want. I figured other people might find those AI-generated articles helpful, so I put them here: https://philosophy.ocaho.com/ There's a search box at the top.

Small experiment of visualization of wikipedia articles as a graph using d3.js.<p>Articles with more traffic are bigger. I used to play the Wikipedia Game in high school and had an idea for applying the same mechanic of clicking from concept to concept to LLMs. Will post another version that runs with an LLM entirely in the browser soon, but for now, please enjoy as long as my credits last... Warning: the LLM does not always cooperate
