Checking on some old material to provide some cross-referencing[1] I got this message: We've temporarily limited requests for old items. I've always taken it for granted that HN contained useful information that I'd be able to retrieve whenever I found the need, but this has brought me up short. Hi HN, I built this side project earlier this week. It executes an English auction on Solana with a reserve price of 0.1 SOL. Auction winner gets control of a Codex editor. Auction losers get refunded (minus a <$0.01 processing fee). The Codex agent operates in a sandbox and can only output HTML/JS/CSS. About a month ago, I tried to sell a few items on eBay including a Nexus One phone. 2 items were left unpaid since the buyer's tried to scam me (fake PayPal payment emails, cancelled PayPal eChecks). Once an item sells, eBay charges a Final Value Fee (FVF) that is a percentage of the total proceeds. However, if the item is never paid for, you can request eBay to credit you the FVF. This is a combination of Show/Ask HN. I've been working on my side project, BitHub.com, for several years now. The issue is that on the revenue side there’s a big fat zero and I'm kinda lost to where to go from here. I'd love to keep the project going, but it obviously needs a new perspective and some novel ideas. If anyone from the community has any recommendations as to where to look for a better direction for the project, I would to love chat. I'm almost at a position to sell the domain and shut the whole project down, but something inside of me fights against this idea.
