Hi HN, Arek here. We’re super excited to officially launch PSPDFKit API [1]. PSPDFKit API is a collection of HTTP APIs that enable you to convert, generate, and edit documents without running any service on your infrastructure. What differentiates our API from others is that you can chain together multiple “actions” as part of a single API request. For example, you can convert, OCR, watermark, edit, and flatten a document — all in one call. Available actions [2]: - PDF Generator - PDF Converter - Image Converter - OCR - Watermark - Merge - Split - Duplicate - Delete - Flatten Our…

Hello HN! It kept surprising me how much of a hassle it is to generate a PDF with decent HTML5 rendering from my SaaS apps. I tried several free libs and APIs but ended up with botched rendering a lot of times. So I set out to simplify this chore by creating an AWS hosted HTML to PDF conversion API that's based on Chrome. This API will allow a dev to just send the HTML to our API and get a PDF in response without having to worry about running and managing Chrome somewhere in their infra. I just finished the first version of my landing page and hosted pdf generation API…

PDFHippo is an API tool that lets you design a PDF in Excel, add functions and variables to parse dynamic values from the API to Excel and save it. While looking to integrate a PDF component into a no-code application my team and I were building, we went down the rabbit hole of PDF creation in the backend. I couldn't find a tool to edit/parse pdf in a simpler manner. Creating an in-house drag-drop widget for PDF was way too complex to print in PDF format. Tools like pdfkit , pdf-lib, and pdfjam were not compatible with the designs we wanted to create. Other API tools were too expensive…

Hi HN! I built PDFly — a PDF toolkit that runs entirely client-side. No file uploads, no server processing, no account needed. It has 56 tools including merge, split, compress, convert, redact, compare, and an AI chat feature to ask questions about your PDF content. Everything runs in your browser using [mention your tech stack if relevant, e.g., WASM/JS libraries]. Would love feedback on the tools, UX, or anything else!

React-print-pdf is a new open-source library that simplifies PDF creation with React. You can design your PDFs like a website, integrate data from your database to your documents, and reuse community components and templates or build your own. Created by three friends who were frustrated by existing solutions and wanted to make PDF creation easier for everyone. Now it’s yours. What are your thoughts on it ?!
