Products that do what PicPick – AI-powered photo curator using CLIP and face recognition does
Hey HN! I built this after my wedding left me with 5,000 photos to sort through. The key insight: most photo sorting time is spent reviewing near-duplicates. Professional photographers shoot in bursts, so you get 10+ shots of the same moment. PicPick uses CLIP embeddings to cluster visually similar photos, then adds face recognition to keep groups coherent (so you don't mix up "bride with parents" and "bride with friends" just because they look similar). Tech stack: - CLIP for semantic similarity (not just perceptual hashing) - face_recognition (dlib) for person detection - DBSCAN clustering…

Hello HN! I want to share something me and a few friends have been working on for a while now — Zeroshot, a web tool that builds image classifiers using text-image models and autolabeling. What does this mean in practice? You can put together an image classifier in about 30 seconds that’s faster and more accurate than CLIP, but that you can deploy yourself however you’d like. It’s open source, commercially licensed, and doesn’t require you to pay anyone per API call. Here's a 2 minute video that shows it off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4R1gtmM-Lo How/why does it…

http://getinapic.com What is InaPic?: Photo sharing + Image recognition. InaPic gives you photo albums with multiple collaborators. It then automatically organizes thousands of photos contributed by tens of users. This is accomplished by state-of-the-art image recognition technology. Clutter is removed by stacking repeating pictures, and highlights are created with a single click, which can seamlessly be shared on a more open forum such as Facebook or Flickr. I invite you to check InaPic's self-organizing photo albums on getinapic.com. Some of the features mentioned above are currently being…

Click an image to get similar images. I crawled Tumblr and used SigLIP to get vector embeddings for many images. When you click an image, it finds the most similar vector embeddings in the database, and returns the corresponding images.
