Products that do what PinSend – Share text between devices using a PIN(P2P, no login) does
Hi HN, I built [PinSend](https://pinsend.app) — a free web app for instantly sharing text between devices, using a simple 6-character PIN. - No login, no account, no install. - Peer-to-peer WebRTC transfer (no server relay, no cloud). - Cross-platform: works on any modern browser. I built PinSend for myself while developing web apps—I was always copying ngrok links and sending error logs between my laptop and mobile devices. I wanted a frictionless, instant way to move links and text between anything. *Demo:* 1. Open https://pinsend.app on your phone & laptop 2. Paste or…

Seeing all the hype around Bolt.new, I decided to give it a try, and within just 30 minutes, I built a fully functional web app for screen sharing. How It Works: - One user opens a room and receives a unique code. - Participants join by simply entering the code to view the shared screen. After that initial build, I moved the project to Cursor to continue iterating and enhancing its features. I’m Gopal, the guy behind QuickClip. I built this out of pure frustration. Copying items between my phone and laptop was very painful. Sending notes and links on WhatsApp. Saving random drafts I’d forget about. It was total waste of time. So I made QuickClip for myself first. A dead simple way to move text, links and images between devices instantly. No setup drama. No thinking. Fully encrypted I use it every day. Shipping it publicly now to see if anyone else has the same problem. Would honestly love to hear, how you move stuff between devices today, what’s broken or slow and what would…

I’d like to share a open source project I’ve been working on: Weblink, a pure web-based file transfer and chat application built on WebRTC. No downloads or installations are needed—everything works directly in your browser. Key features include: - Works seamlessly as a PWA for sharing files/text through the system - File synchronization and resuming interrupted transfers - Video calling - Clipboard and folder transfer (folders are auto-compressed) Weblink uses a serverless P2P architecture, supporting multiple backends like Firebase and self-hosted WebSocket, and ensures signaling…

Hi HN! For the last 8 months we've been working on leaflet.pub, a web app for making delightful documents. We're trying to strike a balance between Notion and Google Docs — very fast, ultralight and easy to share, but also supporting rich blocks and multiple pages. Weirdly, none of the many notetaking/document apps that we could find hit this combination, so we made Leaflet. With it you can: - Instantly create a doc, without an account - Share read and edit links - Sign-in with email to sync your docs to different devices - Add rich blocks, like canvases, subpages, rsvps, and polls It's…

I have decided to open source this project to increase trust even further. In case you have seen my previous posts, this is an update for berb.app, a WebRTC file sharing app. My goal is simple: send files between devices in real-time without installing crap or uploading to any servers.

Hey HN, I'm a C++ algorithms engineer, and today I'd like to share my first full-stack web project: PrivyDrop. This project was born from two ideas: First, I wanted to solve a daily annoyance of mine: I needed a simple, AirDrop-like way to send text, links, or screenshots between my phone and PC. I tried many tools, but they either required me to sign up, had various limitations, or uploaded my data to their servers, which I was never comfortable with. Second, this was a personal experiment. Last year, with all the talk about "AI replacing programmers," I got curious. As a developer with no…
