I had the concept in my head for some time and firstly just prototyped it using only HTML & CSS. Sent it to a few friends and they liked it so I made it into its own website and added few 'competitive' features like click counter and share button.

I made an in-browser game called Meatshields (https://meatshields.com) which allows players to play a turn-based strategy game against many different players simultaneously. The game is heavily inspired by Advance Wars and I wanted to give people the multiplayer experience I loved from my childhood. I couldn't find an online version of the gameplay that I really loved (Advance Wars By Web (AWBW) is FANTASTIC, but there are actually a few gameplay mechanics in Advance Wars that I take issue with that I wanted to try to balance myself), so I decided to make my own. It's still pretty…

I made this game ten years ago without framework. It took my free time for months to develop. I find myself having fun playing it today. Maybe some will enjoy

Most people like free things, some people like games. If you like 'm both then this might be something for you! I've made a website, a Discord bot, a Twitter bot, and a bunch of scrapers that roam the web to find free games out there. Just so that they can be found in one place by other people. I'm running this on my own server, so I'm curious as to how much traffic it can handle. The Discord and Twitter bots run on a fixed interval, so that shouldn't be much of a bottleneck. You can check it out online at: https://www.freegameisafreegame.com On Twitter at…

I like small puzzle games to play on my mobile, (because you can put them away easily as well). But I got really annoyed that a lot of them force feed you advertisements. To counter this I made my own puzzle game, as a progressive web app. This means you can install it on your mobile or desktop as an application, and play offline. After the game is offline ready, no requests should be outgoing except checking for updates of the game. So there is no tracking/reporting going on. This also means I rely on old fashion email to get feedback! The game is build in React + Typescript + Vite,…

My wife and I recently submitted to a mobile game jam on Newgrounds (yes, it's still around). What started as a question of whether we could do it somehow morphed into whether we could do without so many of the seemingly needless complications rampant in our respective industries. My wife thus did all the art as traditional frame-by-frame animation (no puppets or tweening) and I preceded without a game engine. I did use a pre-processor that gives JS a Lisp syntax (Parenscript), because C-syntax is gross. We hope the end result, while definitely of small scope, will serve to inspire some…
