Hey HN! I've been working on a project called PR Pilot that I'm thrilled to share with you. PR Pilot is an AI collaborator for Github issues and pull requests. Once installed in your repository, use the /pilot command in any issue/PR comment to put it to work. PR Pilot will interpret your command in the context of what you’re working on and allow you to leverage the power of generative AI in your daily workflow. It can answer questions, write code and use the internet to search for information. Key aspects that sets it apart from other AI tools: - Context-awareness - crucial for…

Hi HN, Lately Github PRs have been drowning in a flood of AI slop. I’ve been seeing it myself, and I’m not the only one: https://x.com/mitchellh/status/2011819428061855915 I think it’s great that folks are using AI tools to code faster and better, but too many folks are abusing them to make low-quality contributions to public repos. This takes a lot of reviewers’ mindshare. IMO there needs to be a mechanism to flag low-effort PRs with AI slop, so you can just skip reading them. So I built one: https://haystackeditor.com/slop-detector It’s a simple AI…

Hey HN, I built RepoGPT, an open-source AI tool that lets you interact with your GitHub repos using natural language. Ask it things like: How is auth implemented? List API endpoints. What are the key dependencies? RepoGPT aims to make navigating large codebases easier with AI. Check it out: https://github.com/mbarinov/repogpt You'll need Node.js, pnpm, Docker (PostgreSQL), and an OpenAI API key. Full setup in the README. Feedback and contributions are welcome! Also, I'm looking for remote roles in EU time zones. Thanks!

I built this because I was tired of creating pull requests in 20 repositories just to change a single line of workflow job version. With Infra as AI, just mention the change. Agents work on all repos in parallel, read the docs, make a bunch of PRs and fill in the description. You can see the demo of the actual dashboard in the landing. Let me know your thoughts :) It means a lot to me!

Hey HN, Inspired by Vercel’s automated preview deployments, I built a GitHub Actions workflow that generates an Expo QR code per PR—so mobile previews are as easy as scanning a QR code. How it works: • Every PR triggers a GitHub Action • The action starts an Expo server • It posts a QR code in the PR comments for instant testing on mobile No more manually starting Expo. No more copying links. Just open a PR and scan the code. Full guide here: https://torii.studio/guides/expo-qr-previews Would love to get feedback—how would you improve this workflow?

A few weeks ago I posted about GoodToGo https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46656759 - a tool that gives AI agents a deterministic answer to "is this PR ready to merge?" Several people asked about the larger orchestration system I mentioned. This is that system. I got tired of being a project manager for Claude Code. It writes code fine, but shipping production code is seven or eight jobs — research, planning, design review, implementation, code review, security audit, PR creation, CI babysitting. I was doing all the coordination myself. The agent typed fast. I was still the…

Hi Everyone, I made an open-source GitHub bot that automatically submits a detailed line-by-line code review instantly on any new PR. It's just one-click install to get started. You can host your own bot if you'd like. Open for feedback. thanks!

Hey HN! I'm Hussam, a Senior Algorithm Engineer at CodiumAI. We launched PR Agent a little over a year ago — it’s a free and open-source tool that helps with reviewing pull requests. The response has been great and more than 70 contributors have added to the project. Today, we're launching PR Agent as a browser extension. Key features: - AI Chat in PRs: You can ask questions about specific code changes and the context is passed to the AI model - Automated Code Reviews: The /review command does an automated review, focusing on potential bugs, security issues, and best practice violations…
