Products that do what Preswald – AI Data Engineer in VSCode for Local Testing, Metrics does
Hey HN, We're rolling out Preswald: an AI data engineer that lives inside VSCode. The goal is to make setting up and managing your startup metrics stupid simple—all from your editor, without adding SaaS tools, dashboards, or extra steps. Why? Most early-stage teams cobble together metrics using SQL, Python scripts, manual exports, and spreadsheets. We built Preswald to simplify that whole mess and keep it close to where engineers are comfortable: in their codebase. What Preswald Does: Local Testing: Write your SQL or transformation scripts directly in VSCode and test them locally before…

Hey HN, I've had a side-project that I've slowly ticked away at over the last year called Tilde. Tilde is a harness SDK platform - I've tried to take the best things of OpenClaw, Hermes & other harnesses and decompose them and make them available as cloud API building blocks. You can use Tilde to create AI agents for your use case, fast and self-host the agent's yourself. The documentation (and attached blog post) leave a lot to be desired in terms of technical documentation but hopefully the attached git repo does a good job of showcasing the API.…

Hi everyone, Anuj here, Dataherald CEO. There are a bunch of EXTERNAL data sources in the world that people use a lot -- think census data, Bureau of Labor Statistics (unemployment, inflation), but even proprietary data sources. I was tired of getting these into useable data pipelines every time I need need to use them. Dataherald simply creates data pipelines to hundreds of data sources and then lets you create auto-updating data viz -- all in under 60 seconds. The goal is to enable non-tech users to more easily use data, which has been a huge problem for me throughout my career. We…

Dataherald is a no-code data platform that allows you to create and deploy powerful data content (charts, maps, graphs) in less than 60 seconds. We’ve automated ETL for hundreds of public and proprietary data sources, surfacing ready-to-use live-updating visualizations in as little as 3 clicks. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) inflation and employment data, FRED economic and automotive data, and hundreds of other fascinating data feeds are already piped in and at your fingertips – the only thing left is for you to create your own custom visualizations and generate insights from them.…

Hey HN! We’re Vikram and John, founders of ArdentAI (https://www.ardentai.io/). We built ArdentAI to tackle the pain points of data engineering—time-consuming pipelines, manual transformations, and error-prone debugging. With ArdentAI, you can automate these tasks up to 100x faster. What is it? ArdentAI is an AI Agent that connects directly to your databases and handles all the heavy lifting. Think of it as ChatGPT, but for your data infrastructure—it builds, syncs, transforms, and fixes errors for you. It doesn't just write code, it performs actions. Why ArdentAI? Data…

I built this because I was tired of creating pull requests in 20 repositories just to change a single line of workflow job version. With Infra as AI, just mention the change. Agents work on all repos in parallel, read the docs, make a bunch of PRs and fill in the description. You can see the demo of the actual dashboard in the landing. Let me know your thoughts :) It means a lot to me!
