I made this because building UIs in a lexical medium like code is super annoying. I have to pre-render what I’m making in my head, and then jump between the browser and IDE to test. I was inspired by the developer console in chrome and safari since I end up editing css there because it’s ironically more convenient. Hope it’s useful!

Hi HN, I’m excited to share Spot, a simple, cross-platform, React-like GUI library for Go. It is just a few days old and has lots of missing features but I'm happy with the results so far, and looking for some design feedback. Spot is designed to be easy to use and provide a consistent API across different platforms (mainly Mac & Linux). It’s inspired by React, but written in Go, aiming to combine the best of both worlds: the easy tooling & performance of Go with a modern, reactive approach to UI development. Key features: - Cross-platform: Leveraging FLTK[1] & Cocoa[2], Spot works on Mac,…

I created OSS for the first time. LiquidUI is a library aimed at making it easy to create a UI that shakes with Raect. The UI provided by this library can have its animations customized by changing the component properties. ・GitHub repository: https://github.com/enumura1/liquidui

I've been building a web UI library for a side project of mine. I thought it might be useful to others, so I'm releasing it as open source. To put it simply, I realized that most of my pain points with React come from its declarative model ui=f(state). So I'm trying something that I'm calling "imperative JSX." Instead of treating JSX as the source of truth for your UI, it essentially becomes a query interface for DOM manipulation. I first had the idea for it a few months ago, and only began writing it in earnest last week, so it's extremely early and nowhere near production-ready. Still, I'd…

I’ve been working on gotui, a modern fork of the unmaintained termui, rebuilt on top of tcell for TrueColor, mouse support, and proper resize handling. It keeps the simple termui-style API, but adds a bunch of new widgets (charts, gauges, world map, etc.), nicer visuals (collapsed borders, rounded corners), and input components for building real dashboards and tools. Under the hood the renderer’s been reworked for much better performance, and I’d love feedback on what’s missing for you to use it in production.
