Products that do what PrivateLink – Stop TikTok and others from embedding your info in links does
I wanted to share a TikTok without my username going with it and popping up to the receiver, or TIkTok's advertising backend. What started as a simple question turned into a rabbit hole. TikTok's links embed referrer parameters that identify who shared the link. Facebook's share link wrapper includes session hashes. This is a chrome extension I made. You visit tiktok.com and sign in, the extension retrieves MP4s and puts them in a folder. My goal: the TikTok algorithm has helped me find wonderful things. I consider the list of my [Likes] to be a treasure collection, and want to make sure I don't lose them. If you don't have time to try, here's a video walking through all the features: https://youtu.be/BoHOdRxHgP0 Is it free: Yes. I created this chrome extension for myself where I track my own behavior locally and recommend myself content from platforms I want content from (youtube/twitter/quora/etc) in a feed. I made it public just in case anyone else was interested. I would rather have control over my own algorithm and own the data. Also, it gives me flexibility. Turns out I do like these feeds just not when I don't own it haha. Let me know what you think of my implementation?
