Notchie▲301Hey HN! 3-4 weeks ago I was trying to record a webinar for another side project. Screen recording, full screen presentation, talking through slides — should be simple. Except I kept forgetting what I wanted to say. And every time I glanced at my notes, it was obvious on camera. Worse — when recording full screen, there's nowhere to put notes without them being captured. Tried a few teleprompter apps. They either covered half my screen, scrolled at a fixed speed I couldn't match, or showed up in the recording. So I thought: I've been a full-stack dev for 20+ years. Never touched Swift or…

Hey HN! Alexis here, I’m a product manager and software developer in Berlin by way of New York. I want to show you this app I made – It’s like a "buddy" for those, like myself, who inadvertedly talk too much in meetings. The app gives me feedback and a little more in control of what I have influence over by: * Keeping track of how long I’ve been speaking * Catching myself before I talk too much * Developing a better sense of timing I truly love having conversations with people in real-life. But online meetings, especially group calls, tend to make me nervous. I can't read body language. The…

Copresent▲123Hi HN, I'm the maker of Copresent. It does two things: 1. Turns your phone into a Google Slides remote. Open a link, swipe to advance, and read your speaker notes off the phone while you walk around the room. No dongle. 2. Lets several people drive the same live deck. You share one link. Up to 10 co-presenters can take control from any browser, on any device - no install and no account for anyone but the host. I built it because Google locked native co-presenting behind paid Workspace tiers (Business Standard and up). If you're on a free account like most students or small teams - there's no…

Scroll▲93I kept losing ideas in long chats, so I built a tiny Chrome extension to make navigating between turns/prompts way easier. Idk why this isn't a native feature on all LLMs. Anyway, free and open source on GitHub or the Chrome Store. Hope it's helpful! I built a teleprompter that scrolls based on your voice instead of a timer. Paste a script, press record, and it highlights the current word as you speak. If you pause it waits; if you skip lines it finds its place again. Everything runs entirely in the browser — speech recognition (Moonshine ONNX), VAD, and fuzzy script matching. Demo: https://larsbaunwall.github.io/promptme-ai Most of the project was initially built using Perplexity Computer, which made for an interesting agentic coding workflow. Curious what people think about the script alignment approach.
